'CBS Sunday Morning' Continues Its Run as the Number One Sunday Morning News Program in Households, Viewers and Adults 25-54 Ratings

“CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD” MAINTAINS ITS PLACE AS THE #1 SUNDAY MORNING NEWS PROGRAM IN HOUSEHOLDS, VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54

CBS SUNDAY MORNING WAS UP +6% IN HOUSEHOLDS, +5% IN VIEWERS AND +8% IN ADULTS 25-54 COMPARED TO THE SAME DAY LAST YEAR

CBS SUNDAY MORNING was the #1 Sunday morning news program in households, viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for May 13. CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.6/11 with 5.09m viewers, 1.3/07 in adults 25-54. CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +6% in households (from 3.4/09), +5% in viewers (from 4.85m) and +8% in adults 25-54 (from 1.2/06) compared to the same day last year. Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +3% in households (3.7/10 from 3.6/10) and even in both viewers (5.28m) and adults 25-54 (1.4/07) compared to last year.

 

Sunday’s broadcast included Tracy Smith’s cover story on the cultural impact of breasts through history. Also, Mo Rocca caught up with 2008 Olympic Games gold medal-winning gymnast Shawn Johnson, Rita Braver interviewed activist Julian Bond about the famed Barnes Foundation Art Collection’s move to Philadelphia and Susan Spencer went behind-the-scenes at “Jeopardy!” with host Alex Trebek. Correspondent Lee Cowan returned to Joplin, Mo., a year after destructive tornados hit the town.
