LIFETIME’S Army Wives TO RETURN WITH ALL-NEW EPISODES

ON JUNE 24 AFTER THIS SUNDAY’S CLIFFHANGER EPISODE

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 17, 2012) – After this Sunday’s intense cliffhanger episode of Lifetime’s hit drama Army Wives, the series will begin a five week break and return with even more drama and all-new episodes on Sunday, June 24, in a new time period at 10:00pm ET/PT. Army Wives, which recently shot its 100th episode, will immediately follow Lifetime’s critically-acclaimed comedic drama Drop Dead Diva.

Television icon Susan Lucci returns to Army Wives as guest star this Sunday, when Claudia Joy (Kim Delaney) prepares for her kidney transplant, putting the tribe, Michael (Brian McNamara), her family and Fort Marshall on edge as she braces for the high-risk procedure and the fight of her life.

Propelling Lifetime to be the number one cable network among Women in its time period, Army Wives follows the struggles, dreams and friendships of a diverse group of women – and one man – living with their spouses and families on an active army post. The series stars Kim Delaney, Sally Pressman, Brian McNamara, Sterling K. Brown, Wendy Davis, Drew Fuller, Terry Serpico, Kelli Williams and Catherine Bell, and also features Kellie Martin, Alyssa Diaz and JJ Soria.

Produced by ABC Studios, with Mark Gordon and Jeff Melvoin serving as executive producers, the series is based on the book Army Wives: The Unwritten Code of Military Marriage by Tanya Biank, who serves as a consultant.

LOVE Army Wives – but I miss Pamela!

  • DonJ1973

I’m guessing this is the “back 10″ that Lifetime ordered to keep the cast around. However, ABC Studios already announced the DVD release for season 6, so these back 10 episodes will probably be called “season 7″

  • Marspolarlander

Susan Lucci needs to be a regular!

  • Danielle

    @MMG

I miss Pamela, too! She was my favorite!

  • Jedi

I think bringing on Susan Lucci would be brilliant after seeing her character. Sure she isn`t Erica Kane but Audrey is older, wiser, has a history and some bite. I guess it isn`t fair we get a chance to see Susan Lucci or that she can act more than Erica for those doubters. But she adds to the show and she probably adds to the viewer marker and demos. Maybe Devious Minds won`t work out and she can do Army full time plus her reality show (and maybe she could go on General hospital too and let us know what happened to Erica and friends.

  • Danika

Susan Lucci is ruining the show. I watched this show as it never appeared to be a “soap opera” type of show. Leave Lucci off, she takes away from the true meaning of the show and makes the army politics look bad!

  • Danika

And, yes I miss Pamela too! But, in real army life, people do come and go.

  • pat terry

Idon’t think I can renew my cable subscription if Claudia Joy dies. I lost a daughter and willnot be able to emotionally handle living it again

  • trish

will not watch army wives, without kim delany, Your ruining the meaning of the show., susan lucci, really dislike her, really bad actress.

  • Gapsec

I totally agree. I can’t watch the show if they kill off Delaney. What more can happen to a family. You kill her daughter off, give her a disease, give her another disease then kill her off? Give me a break! Also, leave Lucci off. It’s not that kind of show.

  • Penny

I completely agree, the Holden’s are the glue that brings everyone together (all ranks) Susan Lucci does not fit. This is NOT a Soap Opra and does not bring a good fit at all. Pamela, Roxy, The Holdens and the new girl Gloria are all a good mesh. I fast forward it when Susan Lucci is on. I liked her in All my Children but that’s about it/Tooo PHoney.

Please do not kill CJ off as our neighbor hood wont watch it al all. They all work together. Bring back pamela
    thank you

We also like Joan and how she is sticking up for her family and the right to raise her adopted son in a good environment. The father shows what is “not right” and sets a bad example. It just proves that blood does not always make a good family. They provide him a safe and loving environment and the choice to make an educated decision on his own. What is right and wrong. Joan and her family are part of Amry Wives as well as JC, Pamela,Roxy, Frank and his family

  • Rhonda

Army Wives is my favorite show. However, the Holdens, and with Kim D. make the show….it will not be the same if she passes. I will not watch it. This show is not a soap opera and I don’t care for Susan Lucci in this show. This is a common down to earth show for everyday people that upholds truth.

  • Ella

I LOVED last night’s episode! I can’t believe we have to wait until late June to find out what happens next. I loved the dynamic between Audrey and Jackie, and I’d love to see Audrey as a regular on the show!

  • Jedi

Agreed Ella; I have no idea what people’s problems are with Susan Lucci. I guess I’d like o see Lucci in something at the very least. She to me represents a company actor, loyal and someone has show such respect to her craft and genre. While many made fun of soaps, Lucci remained true and when she comes to work she comes to work. There is nothing wrong with her acting; she wouldn’t have been around for 40 plus years if she was that bad in this business. Kim Delaney is the bomb; hope to se eher and Audrey back.

I’d like to know why Lifetime took Army Wives off the ON DEMAND schedule. I was watching faithfully because I couldn’t watch the show when it was on, and I ended up only being able to see half the season. All I know is that CJ was sick and that’s it.

My cable company checked in to it and was told by Lifetime that it was for “legal reasons.” ????????

  • LISA WIGGINS

LOVE THE SHOW VERY MUCH. I WATCH IT EVERY SUNDAY LIKE CLOCK WORK. IF I KNOW IM NOT GOING TO BE HOME I WILL TAPE IT SO I DONT MISS IT. MY DAUGHTER AND I CALL EACH OTHER TO TALK BOUT THE EPISODE THAT WE WATCHED. • linda thomas

  • Ranch Wife

I love this show! I watched the first season. Then between ranching, raising a family, and my horses. I missed everything up to this season. I can tell I’ve missed a lot. Can’t wait for it to return. And I agree with everybody, if CJ dies I wont be a viewer anymore.

  • lyz
