“Being in the position I'm in now is more than I could have ever asked for,” added Sanchez. “I've been looking forward to auditioning for American Idol ever since the first season. And now, the first season that I’m eligible, I've made it to the Top Two! It's crazy what you can do when you put your mind and heart to it! I don't know what could be better than this.”

    Jessica Sanchez should win! It’s time for a girl to win. Guys have won 5 years in a row, way too long!

  • Lane

    I like that Joshua went home lol

  • Rymajebra

    Joshua was obviously Randy’s favorite … they were all so good! Joshua was amazing last night … but so were Jessica and Phillip … I think the judges have made it clear week after week that Jessica should be the winner! And it is time for a girl to win!

    what a travesty. the one with the most talent who led all the way si not in the finals. that is because it ends up a popularity contest instead of a talent competition. it was the best year for talent that idol has ever had and yet the best never makes it to the finals. i could have cried. i know he will do really well as he has more talent than all the rest but what a let down.

    @pat calvin

    It is a popularity contest, but you have got to be kidding when you say Josh had more talent than Jessica and Philip. They’re all talented, he was just unlucky that night. I’m just glad that the final two are actually two extremely talented people

    We in South Africa don’t get to see the show until the following Saturday & Sunday but I like to see the results the Friday morning. I’ve pinned my hopes on Jessica however I think Mr Phillips may just pull it off! I wish the South African Idols was as good as your show. Wow! you guys have it made, fantastic show with excellent talent! They are all winners, from 66 year old Tony in Durban.

    I actually think that No More Drama was the wrong song choice for Joshua to sing. What he lacked in emotional depth with the song he tried to over compensate with his voice. Mary J. Blige had gone thru so many trials and tribulations that when she was singing that song it was a personal declaration. You could feel the pain that she was releasing and her struggle for healing of herself and others who were abused, etc. This song was too much for him to handle. It was beyond his years and it got the best of him.

    Jessica in a way also falls into the same trap. But she has such an amazing voice. She tackles powerful songs from divas who were way more mature at the time of the recordings. I would love for her to do something more recent from the current pop singers, such as a Christina Aguilerra song.

    We the Filipinos from Bahrain,even thou as were busy with our diffrent kinds of job here in Bahrain as we know Jessica is the very best singer in American Idol,reallythe truth will prevail that who is the best among of the best…
    WE LOVE JESSICA AND OUR VOTES FOR HER FROM ALL THE FILIPINOS HERE IN BAHRAIN… JESSICA WIN….

  • Hmow

    Jessica is the best and should win. Phillips is a diva with a scrunched up face. Don’t like him.

  • joethehobo

    @pat calvin

    Joshua doesn’t sing, he grabs the song by its throat and wrangles it to the ground squeezing every last breath out of it. It’s not attractive at all, it’s overkill. He sings AT the audience instead of to them.

    Why do people vote for Phillip? If he wins, this show should tank more.

  • Jason

    Rob, because they find him cute. That’s it.

  • Michael King

    My reply is simpley this #1 Colton Dixion should have been in the top three;Phillip is a Good singer ;and a good Guitar player;Singer?;Average do not like the way he drags the end of words;Levett is a Great singer; Best Singer?;Sanchez;is the best in every way;God gifted Talent that stands alone ;her hard work as a singer has paid off !She and Levett should be in the top;I sing and play myself and to play and sing takes Phillip a long way !He has a chance being that said;!

  • pocholo

    Jessica Sanchez has an amazing talent, it makes me cry everytime i see her singing difficult songs, it makes me more proud i am a Filipino. Philip Philips as well is a combination of talent and good looks. They both deserve to be in the top 2, whoever wins, i will be cheering for both. Congratulations on american idol.for bringing out these two amazing talents.

  • Maria Nieves

    JESSICA SANCHEZ IS VERY TALENTED SHE DESERVE TO WIN SHE IS AN IDOL
    FOR SURE PHILIP NA NA JOSHUA SHOULD HAD BEEN IN THE 2 FINALIST SO WHAT EVER JESSICA NO1 ALL DAY.

  • steven d cox

    Best year for Talent ever- anyone of the top 6 could have been in the top 2 – my concern is with the voting – its flawed to a point- I think the judges should have more say in who is sent home each week- maybe even Jimmy should have a say in it- how about 34 % America’s vote and yes AMERICAS VOTES ONLY SHOULD COUNT-there is currently no way they can tell the difference where the online or phone votes are coming from – 33% judges and 33 % Jimmy- Anyways its been a great year for the show.

  • Emmaline

    Jessica Sanchez should not even be in the finale, since she was technically voted off weeks ago. I think the judges save was the worst decision this show has ever made. Unless of course this was all just part of their plan to begin with, and Jessica was not the least vote getter and it was done to boost her support even more. It’s been obvious that the show is pro-Jessica to win it all and has been from the beginning. Personally, I think the girl can sing but she’s overrated. I can’t see her making any success after Idol. I really can’t see either of them making any success afterward, but at least if Phillip doesn’t win he won’t have the AI noose around his neck telling him what he can and can’t record. Let’s see, out of how many winners has this show produced an actual lucrative talent? Kelly and Carrie have killed it, but the others either fade away into oblivion or you might see them on a future season of Idol performing their latest release that no one else has ever heard of. The same thing happened on X-Factor. Melanie Amaro was kicked off and brought back because Simon felt like he made a huge mistake and then the show propped her up and of course she ended up winning. Has she had any success? Outside of a Pepsi commercial I haven’t heard a thing about her. It’s time for these talent shows to go away. They are not producing the Next Greatest Singing Sensation. They’re basically wasting a lot of people’s time.
