You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.

Definitions: Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    An hour of a poor rated show is worse than an half hour of a poor rated show.

  • Bad Wolf

    @tvfreak

    Maybe Revenge will maintain its current level on Sundays… maybe not. Also, unless The Good Wife suddenly falls to CW levels (which is very unlikely), CBS won’t regret keeping it around since they want a 4th reason so the show can be sold to syndication. And everything points to season 4 being the final season anyway.
    Next season, competition changes for The Good Wife : the still potent Desperate Housewives will be gone, the replacement being Revenge, which is currently weaker than Desperate Housewives. Anything can happen !

  • Max

    Oh. Interesting numbers for REVENGE.

    Are we still going to call it a hit ABC? Are we still going to call it somewhat of a hit ABC? Hmm.

  • Liz

    @Julie

    look what you get for canceling GCB when it was rating higher than this junk lol

    Wrong.

  • Tony

    KS “Modern Family – One of the dull comedies on Television. Can’t wait for it loose viewers to Supernatural next season.”

    LoL

    You are joking right?????

  • Milan

    I guess Revenge did bad because last week’s episode was just boring as hell

  • DW

    revenge getting close to hitting the good wife numbers. yeah. :)

  • Statix

    Revenge started so strong, but it has become so predictable. This week’s episode for instance… Emily and Jack kiss, and Ashley just happens to be standing outside in the dark on the porch looking inside and sees it.

    Or Daniel waits for his mother to leave the room before he calls his dad to tell her she caved under his threat, while Victoria is of course still standing outside behind the door listening to what Daniel is saying.

    I don’t even have anything to hide and I already check outside the door if I have to make a personal call…

  • Mark Wilkins

    Good for Criminal Minds, hope it and SVU adjust up in the finals. The only two programs worth watching last night along with MF.

  • Ram510

    YES Suburgatory is down! Suburgatory will NOT make it to a season 3.

    As for Revenge, it’s sad to see it down, but I’m a little concerned that this is what they chose to fill the DH time slot. It will probably still get a little bit higher ratings than TGW. Too bad Fox’s cartoon will win that time slot

  • MoHasanie

    @Max
    Well, it had 100% retention from its lead in. No 10pm show on ABC has 100% retention from its lead in.

  • P&B

    great numbers for Criminal Minds which had its best episode since ’100′! CM sure don’t need a lead in! when people are all crying to give their show a lead in CM gets great numbers despite having reruns of CBS weakest comedies! To reprise a term use here by some people, yes Criminal Minds IS a beast!

    Oh and CM will be the #1 show at 10pm!

  • daniel

    Revenge just fall because of the CM finale that have 3.7 and 3.8 at 10 pm

  • salim

    am actually happy that revenge got 2.0 cos i was worried it was guna drop to 1.9 or 1.8 becuase of criminal minds hope it will get adjusted up. as for modern family wow from 4.4 to 3.9

  • Mike J

    Modern Family will loose me to Supernatural

  • Ram510

    Funny how nobody is complaining about Apt 23 getting a 2.0 when last season Cougar Town got the same rating and it bashed.

  • Leonard

    @ P&B: It’s been a while since CM had an episode quite that good. I usually get side-tracked during their episodes but this one was so intense it had me going the whole episode. I’m not sure which procedural is the best right now but its gotta be between Blue Bloods, CM, and NCIS.

  • Max

    @MoHasanie

    That’s not really anything to be proud of considering the lead-in has pretty bad numbers itself when you consider what that show is leading out FROM.

    SCANDAL will defeat REVENGE tonight and probably by a good margin.

  • Jon

    Apt. 23 is awful and won’t get any better in the Fall. They shouldn’t have renewed it. HE did better there after MF, which helped Revenge.

  • Bad Wolf

    SVU and a bunch of NBC shows are likely to fall to Harry’s Law levels next season, I wonder what will happen then ?
