Criminal Minds tore up CBS last night and last night’s episode (writing wise) matched one of NCIS!
I watch SVU, but I hope CM beats up SVU and CSI beats up Chicago Fire. I’m tired of Dick Wolf, it’s partially his fault all of his Law & Order shows are canceled. TBJ excluded, Kevin Reilly had a hard on for Wolf.
*Law & Order – If Dick Wolf wasn’t looking for $$$$$, it’d be on today on TNT.
*Law & Order: CI – he hired Walon Green as show runner and Jeff Goldblum took over for Vincent D’Onofrio. Show crash = Ratings crash. Season 10 wound up being swan song.
*Law & Order: LA – Casting Skeet Ulrich as series LEAD. Hiring Blake Masters as show runner/developer. Again, Wolf looking for $$$$$. LOLA could be on TNT if he weren’t so selfish.
SVU – Gonna likley be canceled if it stays on Wed. @ 9PM. SVU’s subject matter is more for a 10PM show anyway!
ABC NEEDS NEEDS to air repeats of happy endings and apartment 23 this summer. too bad apt. 23 only has 7 freakin’ episodes. but they need to do something because if they plan on bringing back two lead-in dependent shows that leave this season on low notes into new timeslots on a new day against insane competition, they will FAIL if they don’t handle it right. air repeats over the summer and make darn sure you learn how to promote both shows.
My predictions for Grey’s tonight: 4.6 .
@June: Good Facts! I watch SVU (with cliffhanger! The first of the series!) It’s still 0.01 viewers
I glad the bitch show is getting lower and lower… it should not have ever gotten renewed expecially lossing a full 2.0 points in demo from it lead in… WOW..
I know it wont last past season 2 which really will be 1.5 seasons because ABC Played it smart and saved money by airing the remaining 6 episodes from season 1 and airing as season 2… HAHA
poor Revenge… it will do better Sundays @ 9:00 after Once.
Can people stop comparing the cancellation of an hour long drama in GCB to the renewals of 30 minute long comedies like Apt. 23. They have absolutely nothing to do with each other.
Revenge still came in fourth for the night….NOT horrible. Go Revenge! Best show on TV.
BTW ,, This is the schedule for next Fall what are your thoughts?
ABC Wednesday 8.00 The Middle
CBS Wednesday 8.00 Survivor
CW Wednesday 8.00 Arrow
NBC Wednesday 8.00 Animal Practice
ABC Wednesday 8.50 Suburgatory
NBC Wednesday 8.50 Guys With Kids
ABC Wednesday 9.00 Modern Family
CBS Wednesday 9.00 Criminal Minds
CW Wednesday 9.00 Supernatural
NBC Wednesday 9.00 Law & Order
ABC Wednesday 9.50 The Neighbors
ABC Wednesday 10.00 Nashville
CBS Wednesday 10.00 CSI
NBC Wednesday 10.00 Chicago Fire
@AlcoholicsAnonymous: 4.9 in the 18-49 demo is still incredibly paltry, when this show used to draw 12.0 back in 2006. If another male contender wins (which will be 5 in a row), the taps for idol will get even louder, as they lose millions more viewers and drive the ratings down into the 3.0-3.5 range and between 12 and 15 million viewers. Count on it!
LOL ,, Dang , forgot FOX
i’m still crossing my fingers that ABC wakes up and switches how to live with your parents and the neighbors this summer. because by the time they cancel the neighbors, it will have ruined nashville’s chances along with it.
Revenge is usually not against CM and CM is usually not that high.. considering the CBS competition was 1.3 rating points higher than last week I think Revenge did okay.
Trying that again ,, so what are your thoughts for next Fall on Wednesday?
I see ABC & NBC being in direct competition for the same demo at 8 & 8:30.
CBS seems to be competing with CW at 9.
And it looks like NBC & CBS at odds at 10.
4 ABC Wednesday 8.00 The Middle
4 CBS Wednesday 8.00 Survivor
4 CW Wednesday 8.00 Arrow
4 FOX Wednesday 8.00 The X Factor
4 NBC Wednesday 8.00 Animal Practice
4 ABC Wednesday 8.50 Suburgatory
4 NBC Wednesday 8.50 Guys With Kids
4 ABC Wednesday 9.00 Modern Family
4 CBS Wednesday 9.00 Criminal Minds
4 CW Wednesday 9.00 Supernatural
4 NBC Wednesday 9.00 Law & Order
4 ABC Wednesday 9.50 The Neighbors
4 ABC Wednesday 10.00 Nashville
4 CBS Wednesday 10.00 CSI
4 NBC Wednesday 10.00 Chicago Fire
I love both shows but I need to be realistic
R.I.P
Happy Endings: 2011-2013 and Apt 23: 2012-13
My prediction for Grey’s is also 4.6 for tonight. Would have been 5.0 if it had been a two-hour finale. Burn in hell, Scandal! Also, Shonda, you better not have killed off Arizona!
Also, I will give Revenge the benefit of the doubt and predict a 2.0 for the finale, Idol overrun notwithstanding.
I don’t necessarily think The Neighbors will get cancelled after half a season, but I do think that ABC will move it to 8pm Tuesdays in January and give How to Live With Your Parents the 9:30 pimp spot.
Now whether that’s going to be too late for Nashville or not, that I don’t know, but the 10pm drama that follows a comedy block usually tends to sink or swim on its own so if people like Nashville, my guess is they’ll stick with it.
Yeah, the Happy Endings/Apartment 23 comedy block can only work if it’s promoted. I have faith that ABC will at the very least run promos for Happy Endings, because like it or not, Happy Endings is to Tuesdays what Modern Family is to Wednesdays. I also expect there to be more promos for Revenge, as it’s now the Sunday night version of Grey’s Anatomy.
@Bee
I read somewhere that HE and Apt 23 are going to have reruns all summer..
Idol still big!!!
Idol is still down a third year-on-year. If it continues its decline then Fox might be in serious trouble, because they are so reliant on singing competitions. I’m far from convinced the retooled X Factor will be a hit.
Worrying for Apt 23, especially given the competition in the Tuesday 9pm block.
@Bunny
Don’t get discouraged yet! Have faith! I love both shows, too (in addition to New Girl).
Happy Endings’ main competition is New Girl and I understand that they probably have similar audiences. However, New Girl is not the hit everyone thought it was going to be as it was only hitting low-to-mid 2′s for most of the January-May episodes. In addition, its lead-in from the 8pm hour includes a new show and a established show that only get 1′s. Happy Endings’ lead in, while older skewing, will more than likely be a stronger lead-in. New Girl has to steer the Fox comedy block and it needs a lead-in judging from its ratings.
Apartment 23 is the established show going up against 2 newbies. The New Normal is on NBC, so that will probably put a dent into its ratings potential. The Mindy Project will probably end-up relying on New Girl as its lead-in.
Like I said: have faith. ABC has faith in Happy Endings to steer this block and topple the Fox and NBC blocks (otherwise they would not be doing this).
