I wonder if Sean Hannity when he reports on “the real obama” linking him to reverend wright, will do a report on “the real mitt romney” whose mormon grandfather migrated to mexico because he had many wives, and how that must have shaped the thoughts of mr romney,(I wonder how the christian evangelicals think about that fact?) and how mormon teachings tell how minorities, specifically blacks are inferior. Will this be something the fair and balanced news channel report, in the name of proper vetting? LOL
somebody wants to zap this thread, Haaha.
suikostinger,
I have to say that I think you are one of the more level headed of the people that post. It is funny and sad that neither side can see their own.
Thanks! The Fox News loving righties own this little “forum”. So by me pointing out the fallacies in the peoples thinking in here, make me seem like a liberal.
Seems like all networks reveal their political biases most during the Primetime viewing slots about 6-9 PM CST. What bugs me is that FOX News gets singled out for being right-wing when the others are left-wing. Look at who CNN and NBC/MSNBC have on at 7-9 PM, the same time O’Reilly, Hannity, and Bret Baier are on. CNN has Anderson Cooper, Piers Morgan, and Erin Burnett. MSNBC has Ed Schultz, Chris Matthews, and Rachel Maddow (and used to have Keith Olbermann until recently). CBS News has Steve Kroft and Lesley Stahl (big improvement over Dan Rather). ABC News has Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopolous. Comedy Central has Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart.

My point is, the other networks slant left as clearly as FOX News does to the right. They run politically opinionated programming like FOX News does, just to the left, not the right (e.g. Anderson Cooper, Piers Morgan, Ed Schultz, Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, Diane Sawyer, George Stephanopolous, Stephen Colbert, Keith Olbermann, Dan Rather, and Jon Stewart). The exceptions might be Erin Burnett for CNN and the Kroft/Stahl combination for CBS’s 60 Minutes (which may not be liberal, but they replaced Dan Rather, who DEFINITELY was).
Until other networks start airing both conservative and liberal commentators instead of just all liberals, it’s hard for me to take seriously the attacks on FOX News as anything other than liberally-motivated propaganda hypocritically ignoring the political motivations of the other news infotainment networks. They all have biases and anyone should be able to recognize pretty clearly where these lie.
Suikostinger, I honestly prefer FOX News somewhat but their bias annoys me to where I can’t watch them at times too. You seem willing to criticize both sides at least. Seems like there’s no middle ground these days apart from C-Span which doesn’t really report at all, just lets both sides say what they want. Still, what I like about at FOX is at least they have some with liberal leanings, like Alan Colmes and Juan Williams, instead of just giving one side all the time. However, their prime-time opinion shows get singled out, the ones with the most viewers, like Hannity, O’Reilly, and the former Glen Beck. Yet Olbermann, Matthews, Maddow, Cooper, Morgan, Rather, and Schultz get passes from the same critics. I’m fine with criticizing the FOX bias as long as the other networks, especially CNN and MSNBC, are held accountable as well.
@andrew,
Andrew, Where have you been all of my life? I’m really starting to enjoy the newbies posting here. Dear, new friend, Andrew, please say you will continue to post here, as a favor to me. Pretty please? Ratboy, don’t get jealous, I’m still coming over for salmon and pulled pork. Great day today, so see you all later.
Suik,
Your comments re: Glenn Beck & the ‘righties’here not being able to read was a put down. I believe in critical thinking, so , first I reviewed all the videos to see if Glenn Beck made a comment that brought forth the blog comments. He didn’t . Then I started to read the thread. I didn’t like it much , so, I conceded your point. There are always crazies on threads , be they , Right or Left. You should read the Occupy Wall Street blogs if you want to call out lunactics.
You can’t paint all with the same brush. Expand your mind beyond the narrow & look at the whole picture. You’ll learn more.

Thing is, I don’t know if these commentators believe what they’re saying or they’re just moving a product. What’s the difference between Hannity and the auto mechanic who raves about the new $9.99 bottle of fuel treatment? Does Hannity really believe what he’s saying or is he simply taking advantage of the predilections of his viewers? If I were Hannity, it wouldn’t matter to me at all. Especially not after having built an empire around this particular product. The thrill of the sale will be my motivator.
Morning all!
I enjoyed the video link with Nick! Thanks, Jeff.
Sorry d.d but you contradicted yourself.

Then you ought to show him an example of what you mean. The back and forth does nothing except increase the number of pages in the thread.

You all have fun.
@Suiko
You are beyond EVIL, to Republicans The word moderate is a bad now and they campaign against that word or any Republican that has compromised. The programming of brains is insane!
Liberal is the old term for hating, but still a goodie. Now the new nasty word is moderate. “can you believe that??”
It’s very sad. But this President and his campaign is going to fight the extremist agenda and make em run for the hill with any slum political trick. The GOP will blame and turn on the yea party eventually….. They love to eat their own.

When liberals can’t face facts, they pull the race card.
Could it be because they did something unethical? Not to a liberal. It has to be due to race even when race isn’t an issue. A crime is a crime no matter who commits it. Not to mention these ethics investigations started in 2009, when Democrats controlled the House and Senate.

First, I don’t know if OWS are Obama supporters. They seem to be anarchists and anti-establishment, and Obama is the head of the establishment. But I was hoping to see a source that allows free browsing of comments, without requiring that you first sign up.
