I thought POI is supposed to be a beast? Oh wait, it needs a great lead in and no competition for beast numbers. CBS you must protect this show more and get more promotions on air! (I just don’t see enough of those boring promos enough).
Wow at GA 4.1 that’s pretty darn amazing I’m still mad tho’ that Lexie died. I’m happy with Scandal 2.3 it was to be expected this show always adjusted down it’ll be a cold day in hell if and when it adjusts up.
This is way off-topic, but I think Disney should release the Muppets 2 on Wednesday December 25, 2012, Chirstmas. Frozen is already coming out in late November; so this can be a good Christmas draw.
Wow for GA…. It truly does deserve it!! The episode had stunning visuals and was stunning overall. Very shocked how Lexie died in the first 20 minutes of the show…
This is very good news… Last years season finale of GA only got 9.9M. This year got 11.4M+. AND a season high of. A 4.1. Good. For GA!!!!!
@Matt
Its not a season high. The season high is 4.5.
@Silvio who said:
Person of Interest Season 1 A18-49 ratings are as strong as 1st seasons of Hawaii Five-0 and NCIS: LA were. So: hit yes, big hit no.
However, in 2nd season POI is bound to benefit from:
- new better lead-in, Two and a Half Men
- is likely to lead-out Super-Bowl (2 Broke Girls is only other candidate)
Thus, anything bellow 3.5 A18-49 average in season 2 would surprise me. POI not picked into syndication over period of next 12 months would shock me. Show not to reach 88 episodes is impossible.
BUT POI was with weakest posible lead-in all season long!!! I guess NCIS LA was after NCIS! POI was after one big CBS flop, and weakest CBS sitcoms. And PoI was rookie show which take 9pm against Grey, few world series, few times vs new x factor/AI. I mean what a gamble they do(CBS). Next season with TAHM lead-in is easy. Dramas go up in second season(so POI will be up even without TAHM), but 3.5 is a litle bit too optimistic even with TAHM lead-in. Let’s say – 3.2 rating 15 million viewers and when Greys is off 3.8-4.0 18-20 million viewers! If take post Super-Bowl slot and writers create quality storyline in the spring can hit 5s few time.
ps1 But, Silvio, If you are honest you will agree that PoI quality, storyline, writing, acting etc. is WAY BETTER than NCIS LA and H5O! Are you agree with me?
ps2 BTW they must start week or 2 earlier in september. Or at least air couple of reruns TBBT/TAHM/POI so people can make new habits and accustomed.
@Silvio
Person of Interest syndication will also boost the shows ratings and even viewers. May be on TNT or USA or whoever can take it.
Grey’s- shooting at the hospital, plane crash…. Is the plague next? Keep it real. A cliff hanger of who lives after a plane crash is just plain laziness.
@Petar
Are you agree with me?
Dunno. Watching only NCIS: LA, never saw episode of H50 or POI.
Gave up on H5O during trailer, don’t like action per sake of action.
LA is basically same show as H50, but I started to watch it because of NCIS in its name. Still watching, though I fastforward through boring parts of episodes … which is vast majority of most episodes.
Many people claim POI is a good show, then probably I’ll check it one day.
POI acting storyline and quality is no better than NCIS LA or H50, or CSI, etc etc. Its a procedural with a lead actor that is very one note! Not much more to offer than any other CBS show. I tried to watch it, but it was so dreary I had to shut it off. Twice. Thats all a show gets from me, two episodes. I’m sure it will be on the air for a while, considering those procedurals are always stay on forever. I still can’t believe Criminal Minds is on the air… But then I do allow that everyone has their opinions and that others like what I might not. I like plenty of shows that others rake over the coals.
POI is a smart show that delivered a terrific finale. What an awesome set up for next season.
The rarest viewers are young men, the group that advertisers try hardest to attract. Women in all age groups watch much more TV than men. Therefore, POI, which attracts a very strong male following, is like catnip to advertisers. CBS has to be over the moon with this show, with both it’s strong demo and total viewer numbers. They are brilliantly positioned for next season.
@Remo
Dude what ya smoking , the POI numbers are great , last week was 2.6 / 12.96 vs this week at 2.5 / 13.47. given the competition last night those were great numbers.
++
As for Grey’s they had really nice numbers for their final episode of the season , BUT , they really need to see what can be done so that viewers tune in on a weekly basis. Grey’s went from 3.5 / 9.82 last week and ended at 4.1 / 11.44, so the Network needs to ask why do so many of their viewers only check in during cliff hangers.
Will Scandal’s ratings go up next fall Sara?
SCANDAL’s ratings will indeed go up in the fall. You can expect ABC to promote it like crazy during the summer (promos, EW, DVD release, talk show). It is going to be THE talk of the fall season when it returns. It already trends on twitter for well over an hour after an episode ends.
I can think of another ABC freshman drama that currently airs that does NOT do that.
@max your annoying.
Wow trending on twitter. So does Gossip Girl…
NBC doesn’t have a show above 1.4……..HAHAHAHA. These disastrous shows should be cancelled. They are terrible. Nothing over 3 million viewers….Pitiful after Friends and 30 million viewers watching with a 15.0 rating. Get rid of Thursday comedy….it is crap and embarrassing.
@Dunno. Watching only NCIS: LA, never saw episode of H50 or POI.
Gave up on H5O during trailer, don’t like action per sake of action.

You will not sorry. I promise. Try to watch season 1 with DVD or somthing and i will expect your opinion for that show.
@Silvio off course. my bad. i am sorry but watch lakers at the time.
Touch needs to drop the subtitles next season
