You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Damn, I was really hoping Community would at least get a 1.6 in the 9pm hour.

  • DenverDean

@darius Why? POI had ROE 2.1 lead-in with TBBT (R). Not sure why CBS didn’t program a new TBBT for season finale Thursday. POI will continue to pick up viewers this summer, who may have chosen other alternatives. I expect the show to really pop once it has TAHM as lead-in, rather than ROE.

lol i guess people, including myself, got a little carried away with out grey’s predictions of 4.5+ for the finale. it is surprising that it only rose 0.4!? but then again, there was one crucial difference between the 4 other times grey’s broke a 4.0 this season: it wasn’t spring. darn you spring ratings!

and OMG HELL YESSSSS SCANDAL!!!!! i thought it would be a dream to hit 2.2.

  • errata

will there ever be a TVBTN article that doesn’t contain errors?

The Office did not air last night.

  • Jenny

The Mentalist’s season finale scored a 2.5. very bad, but since it is moving to Sunday at 10 pm next year, it will average below 2. CBS put this show to Sunday after The Good Wife, where it will die

  • P&B

Terrible ratings for POI and that show does skew very old. On the other hand, Greys’s finale may not have reached a 4.0 ( it may in the final) but still a 3.9 for a 8 years old show is very good!

  • Jack

Touch, Touch, Touch…. 24 was more better! Kiefer Sutherland is a great actor. It’s the reason for the renewal of Touch???

  • Juan

Great for both scandal and grey’s though I wanted higher for grey’s hope it gets adjusted up. I’m still so depressed that SPOILERS Lexie Grey died, one of my favorite and so sad

  • Douglas from Brazil

Why the ratings on NBC comedies fell too much?Last season,Parks premiered at 3.2 18-49 and last week earned only 1.7 18-49.I feel bad about that.

  • Chris

@Andy–I say I still don’t get why a tiny handful of people love this show so much. There just isn’t anything there to get excited about. They could get comparable ratings showing repeats of The Soup–which is a lot funnier, and costs a lot less.

  • Randy

Poor Community? How about just poor NBC. What a nightmare for them.

  • leonard

Grey’s still a monster. Scandal did really amazing. Shonda rocks

  • NYC_Lover

Great for Grey’s! Damn 8 seasons and STILL getting a 4.0?! What a beast! ABC must be so happy. I think they shouldve launched 666Park Ave after Greys though. Terrible for Rules of Engagement and POI, although it did gain from its lead in. Bad for Community, it will bomb on Fridays. Bad for 30 rock as well.

  • MoHasanie

Couldn’t agree more. Grey’s could never ever be as good as ER.
I gave up on Grey’s in season 5, cause the stories were getting very repetitive and the episodes were boring. However, I do occasionally check out the season finales, because Shonda really knows how to make a great finale.

  • salim

hope greys goes up to 4.0 currently, good for scandel, i think that i might pull a “happy endings” cos happy endings got good rating in season 2, lets hope so. greys finale was anti climatic. so far i have to say that the mentalist has the best season finale so far.

  • CrimTV

That Vampire Diaries repeat rating seems a bit unusual

  • KarenM

Oh, please, GA’s just a soap opera with good looking men and women. At least PoI gives you something to think about and doesn’t have to revert to killing off characters for ratings!

  • HB

Max will be so happy with Scandal ratings :D

Hopefully POI is adjusted up :D

  • DougF

Community shouldn’t be labeled “Hits Series Low” as it already hit that back on April 19th. It should just be “Down”, can’t hit a series low when you already hit it
