Continuing the night-by-night look at the fall schedule, we move to Monday night.  ABC is keeping the exact same lineup as Fall 2011 and CBS is close, with only the new comedy  Partners at 8:30p, and 2 Broke Girls moving to the tentpole 9pm spot after the Thursday move of Two And A Half Men.

NBC brings The Voice into the Fall, followed by new drama Revolution at 10pm. For NBC's sake, I hope it lasts longer than The Playboy Club did.

We can only hope we'll get a little Revolution fan chatter joining the Castle v. Hawaii Five-0 trash talk on Tuesday mornings.

The CW moves Gossip Girl an hour later than last Fall for its final season (not clear on the episode count) and brings 90210 into the night. The Carrie Diaries is scheduled to enter the night after Gossip Girl is done.

Nothing nearly as newsworthy on the night for Fox as Terra Nova was last Fall, but rookie The Mob Doctor will follow Bones.

Take a trip down memory land with 2011's Monday Fall schedule:

Castle! And recording H50 for later. The all-star dancing with the stars may draw me in again. I had swithced to the voice but found this season lakluster compaired to the first. Have to see who DWTS brings back. Castle’s my favorite of the night though!

  • SteveO

That’s a tough slot for Revolution. Castle has a loyal, non-moving fan base. H5O is always steady. Hoping it does well though.

  • hello

    Revolution sadly won’t last.

  • Victor Hugo

    Here i thinl will be:

ABC same but Castle will down a little bit.
CBS: Strong. 2 Broke Girls will rise in new time slot nas partners could be solid.
NBC The Voice is down but solid and revolution will be sampled maybe stay range between 8-9 million viewers and 2.5
Fox and CW will be toast… nothing here.

When SMASH finally return, I wouldn’t be surprised if NBC schedules it at a bad time with a crapy lead-in.

  • Chuck_T

NBC has a real opportunity on Monday nights. It has been doing well thanks to THE VOICE. Now with TWO & HALF MEN moving it gives them an even better opportunity to consolidate their position on Monday.

I also think REVOLUTION might have more staying power than SMASH. SMASH started well but has generally been sliding to about 1.8 or 1.9 in the key demo, probably not too bad for NBC (especially since it was renewed), but it should be better. I think REVOLUTION has the potential to keep THE VOICE momentum going for the night–especially with younger men.

For fall of 2012 I can see NBC winning two nights outright–Football Sunday (naturally) and Monday night. I also think they have potential on Tuesday to do well. If so, this could be the beginning of a comeback for NBC.

    MNF Rules !!

  • ffffff

    can’t wait for Partners

  • Liz

Hawaii 5-0 vs. Castle vs. Revolution is going to reach new heights of irritating blather.

I haven’t decided on my official vote for first cancellation of the fall, but right now I’m leaning toward Mob Doctor.

  • rob60990

CBS will be very vulnerable if Partners flops. I think it is a bit too soon to put 2 Broke Girls in such a timeslot to anchor a comedy night.

ABC: DWTS is doing an all-star cast so it may help the show rise a little bit. Castle will probably pull the same ratings which will just waste the timeslot. I can understand wanting to leave 1 night unchanged but a new show could use the timeslot and i’m still mad Revenge is being pushed to Sunday.

FOX will be dead in water. The Mob Doctor looks horrible and Bones is not strong.

NBC: Hopefully The Voice keeps falling and Revolution flops. :D

CW: Will be a horrible night for them. No one will care about a final season of Gossip Girl and 90210 will likely be pulling .6s.

NBC will likely win the night, for now. ;)

  • JJ

I’m gonna watch 2 broke girls for sure and probably try Partners. I’m really looking forward Revolution which i truly believe could be NBC’ next hit.. The Mob Doctor will be cancelled when november comes

  • Jadine

Revolution looks good.. NBC could not have put it in a better time slot.. After The Voice is perfect..

  • coonio

wow i just got a flashback when ABC and CBS made Thursday a warzone with Grey’s Anatomy and CSI.

Is it just me or are the ratings dropping for the networks? But anyway CASTLE all the way

  • SarahL

If Revolution cannot succeed after The Voice, then there is no hope for it no matter where it is put on NBC’s schedule.

  • Noname_Rex

Rob…what did NBC ever do to you?

  • psychic

    Revolution looks like crap.
Yay for Castle staying on Mondays.

  • Mark Wilkins

Looks like I won’t be watching any TV on Monday. Nothing on this schedule that interests me.

  • Aeiouy

Couple CBS comedies and nothing else. Monday has turned into a suckfest for this viewer

  • Nysportsfn

Am I the only one who thinks 2 broke girls is absolutely horrible.

I watch all the CBS Monday night Comedies and I just struggle with Girls. The storyline is terrible, the acting is horrendous and the jokes are one trite sex joke after another.

Everyone I know hates it, yet its ratings are really high. I wonder if the 9:00 time slot will change things for that show, if people were only watching it since they were already watching CBS.

  • Hades

What the heck is DWTS All Stars? Isnt it usually full of D List celebrity’s anyway?

Fox-Mob Doctor flops right out of the gate, Bones low 2’s-high 1’s. Overall Fox 4th on the night

CBS-Still strong but slightly weaker, Partners will be a moderate hit (probably just good enough by CBS standards and much better than any comedy on any other network)-overall 2nd on the night maybe fighting for 1st depending on how the Voice does

NBC-Revolution does well out of the gate but declines steadily over the season. The Voice starts strong but begins to fade. 1st for the night, maybe pushed to 2nd by CBS.

ABC-basically the same as last season. 3rd on the night.

CW-last as usual with a 0.6 average over the night.
