Continuing the night-by-night look at the fall schedule, we move to Monday night.  ABC is keeping the exact same lineup as Fall 2011 and CBS is close, with only the new comedy  Partners at 8:30p, and 2 Broke Girls moving to the tentpole 9pm spot after the Thursday move of Two and a Half Men.

NBC brings The Voice into the Fall, followed by new drama Revolution at 10pm. For NBC's sake, I hope it lasts longer than The Playboy Club did.

We can only hope we'll get a little Revolution fan chatter joining the Castle v. Hawaii Five-0 trash talk on Tuesday mornings.

The CW moves Gossip Girl an hour later than last Fall for its final season (not clear on the episode count) and brings 90210 into the night. The Carrie Diaries is scheduled to enter the night after Gossip Girl is done.

Nothing nearly as newsworthy on the night for Fox as Terra Nova was last Fall, but rookie The Mob Doctor will follow Bones.

Take a trip down memory land with 2011's Monday Fall schedule:

HIMYM, Partners, 2BGs and Revolution for me.

  • Petar

Revolution is the only primetime show on network tv(big 4 networks) wich can entertain people and make people THINK! These days this is like mission impossible with so many trash shows who kill brain cells out there like flies. I think they will try to build up interest and suspense before they start answering the questions that revolution puts. Its science from one hand, but even more important human nature! How people respond in emergency situation when their families, friends and people need help. World without police, military, mobile, ipad, PC, TV, cars, planes etc. I know people who will kill themselves if they are without internet or twitter for more than 24 hours. This will be one of the greatest tv adventures with so many puzzles. The biggest queation will be what causes the blackout?! In my opinion will be US military(they start so many stuped wars nothing new for tham) or some crazy scientists with their crazy experiments!

Thanks CBS for clearing out the only show I’d even consider watching on Monday so I can now watch Monday Night Football uninterrupted.

i will be watching Revolution and the Voice on NBC.

  • Temis

There’s no flow between The Voice and Revolution, but I guess that’s more an indication of NBC’s all-over-the-map lineup than anything else. It’s the timeslot with the best chance of success.

PS, re: the sci fi debate, networks are damned if they do, damned if they don’t. Other genres do poorly as well. Look at all the new cop shows this season, or rather, lack of them. Nothing works, so networks try everything.

    I can’t wait for Revolution.
I am not into Romance , so Castle was never for me.
This show is going to hurt Hawaii 50 big time, because it is an action show but with good acting/storylines, something Hawaii lacks. But well, Hawaii won’t last much anyway, Alex O’Loughlin and his drug addiction. He is a walking ticking time bomb.Poor CBS, first Charlie and now Alex.

Revolution is the best show next season. The promo is so so good.
Mondays I will watch NBC The Voice and Revolution.

  • Snoot

Is this the final season for HIMYM?

  • Networkman

I didn’t get the chance to watch 2 Broke Girls on a regular basis during the season because I was watching DWTS. So, I’m checking it out during the Summer. And I must say that I like the chemistry amongst the two leading ladies. I love that the show is not trying to be politically correct. So some of the material may be crude but I’m fine with it as long as its funny. It has potential. It gives me the same vibe as Married with Children.

I would love Whitney to just go all out for the second season and have some truly outrageous guest stars. I would love to see comedians like Lisa Lampanelli. Also since Martin Lawrence’s show fell through, I would love to see him make an appearance. This show at least had me laughing and I can’t say that for all comedies.
