Its mean House didnt adjust to a 3.0.
Funny How the CBS comedy repeats is what NBC comedies usually get… Poor NBC, think they have a good chance of higher ratings next year (2012-2013)…
I don’t get why The CW decided to air repeats of One Tree Hill. Nothing against the show but it’s over isn’t it?
I was expecting House to be adjusted up too, but solid ratings (I think this year has lowered all expectations about any show)
I’m still surprised it only got 8.7 million viewers cause I was expecting at least 10 million against such little competition. Those ratings really are quite low for a show that was once so great and huge. Oh well, I personally stopped watching 3 years ago. I was planning to watch the finale, but then I didn’t.
Yeah, when I saw that the CW was airing reruns I thought they meant like… season 1 reruns lol.
You still have to admit that a repeat of One Tree Hill is almost getting the same rating of a new episode of Gossip Girl!!
For a show that once consistently garnered 20 million viewers weekly, Houses finale ratings were a disappointment.
‘American Ninja Warrior’ received a higher demo than ‘Parks’, ‘Community’ or ’30 Rock’ did during the entire season
…
While House did better than I expected, those ratings are nothing to write home about. It couldn’t even match its season premiere ratings. At least Desperate Housewives did. Grey’s is still way stronger than both of them.
@kaylie
Didn’t everything used to get 20 million viewers? Seriously.
The two episode of One Tree Hill were random episodes the first one was from back in March and the second one was the series finale of the show. and i bet the repeat of Heart of Dixie tonight will get the same ratings as that too.
@Kaylie
How so? a 2.9 is great. Various shows average this, like Once Upon a Time.
Doesn”t DWTS ratings look a little down from last year at this time?? I remember the show getting 18-21 million viewers and about 3-4 (18-49). I know it will still be around for a few more years but I notice the numbers slowly dropping.
“For a show that once consistently garnered 20 million viewers weekly, Houses finale ratings were a disappointment.”
That statement could apply to pretty much every single broadcast scripted show that’s gone > 5 years since the 1980′s, with just an adjustment to the absolute numbers depending on the time period.
Broadcast primetime ratings have been falling since the early 80′s. No long term show’s finishing ratings are what they once were.
@Sid
They aired repeats of OTH because they’d do better than episodes of others. They certainly wouldn’t use Ringer!
Oh wow, not even a 3.0 for House. At least Housewives did a 3.2. It wasn’t much, but it was still a bit better.
To be fair, House premired to 7 million viewers, and consistantly recieved under 7 million for the first 7 episodes of Season 1 before being moved, of which it then exploded in popularity.
The final episode of House rated higher than the pilot. Not many shows can say they’ve done that.
“They aired repeats of OTH because they’d do better than episodes of others. They certainly wouldn’t use Ringer!”
Using One Tree Hill and RINGER in the same context makes no sense because both of them are done. They’re not coming back so why would The CW air repeats of either of them?
They have TVD, Nikita, SPN, 90210, Hart of Dixie, Gossip Girl all returning next Season. Don’t you think it’s wiser to air repeats of them?
You i-d-i-o-t-s
House will remain worldwide as one of the biggest tv shows in history
People all around the world is getting emotional with the end
