   Dem fundraiser honors 25th anniversary of Rep. Barney Frank’s coming out

   House Democrats will hold a fundraiser next week honoring the 25th anniversary of Rep. Barney’s Frank (D-Mass.) coming out of the closet.

   House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) Chairman Steve Israel (N.Y.) will join Frank for a reception on the rooftop of El Centro DF, a popular Mexican restaurant in Northwest Washington.

   Rep. Jared Polis (D-Colo.), another openly gay member of Congress, penned the email that the DCCC sent to supporters inviting them to the event.

   “Barney is an inspiration to all of us as one of the first openly gay congressmen to serve in the House,” Polis wrote. “This event will be particularly moving for me as it will be one of our last events with him before he retires this year.”

   Tickets for the May 30 event range from $100 for an individual to $5,000 for PACs or those who want to co-host the event.

   Scott Walker Nobama holding a lead within the margin of error. Other polls show various results as well. Walker Nobama is Being forced to spend MILLIONS AN MILLIONS and Out spending his opponent by enormous margins to save his job. How embarrassing!!!

   It’s hilarious that he has everyone from the GOP DNC and others assisting him yet he can’t pull out a significant lead. …why you ask?! Because he sucks!!

    We fished with them Sunday & didn’t get a bite , but, caught a lot of fish , not that big though with meal worms.

    I asked my husband pretty please to give the leeches a funeral, but, it wasn’t to be. He refused.

    Allahu Akbar… Arabic Now Mandatory In NY Public Elementary School

    New York Post,

    An upper Manhattan public elementary school will be the first in the city to require that students study Arabic, officials said yesterday.

    Beginning next semester, all 200 second- through fifth-graders at PS 368 in Hamilton Heights will be taught the language twice a week for 45 minutes — putting it on equal footing with science and music courses.

    The Arabic requirement becomes mandatory in September.

    I don’t get why the kid thought Nobama’s hair would feel different from his & his familys. I guess thats a kids thought process. I’m not an APPALACHIAN-AMERICAN.     Chris Matthews blasts ‘horse’s a$$ right wingers’

    Yes. Chris Matthews is sick of people making fun of him for declaring on national television that he got a “thrill up his leg” after listening to President Obama.

    Fishbowl DC notes that Matthews unleashed on CSPAN’s Steve Scully, after asking about the “thrill up his leg” comment during a media panel at a convention in Boston.

    “Is the thrill still there?” asked Scully.

    Matthews wasn’t thrilled with the question.

    “I hope that you feel satisfied that you’ve used the most obvious question that is raised by every horse’s a$$ right winger I ever bump into,” Matthews responded, after defending the comment.

    Matthew’s said that he made the comment because he has “traditional values” and loves his country. “I do have physical reactions when people are talking about my country,” he added, noting that some one straight-laced like Tom Brokaw wouldn’t have said it.

    “Perhaps I shouldn’t have said so because I’ve given a lot of jackaSSes the chance to talk about it,” Matthews continued. “And usually they say ‘tingle’ which says something about their orientation, but thats alright.” he added.

    Later he injected, “Not that there’s anything wrong with that, I’m supposed to add that I guess.”

    “This election will be closer than last one. People don’t remember last election was close. We’re going to have to contend with even more negative ads, even more cynicism and nastiness and just plain foolishness.”

    I rarely watch MSNBC because it is just so boring. The host, no matter how idiotic, always has people on who agree with him/her. The sing together and it is just Pravda all over again. Occassionally, when they don’t do this, MSNBC can be fun. For example, the interview of Matthews and Gingrich was entertaining because Newt didn’t just roll over. He fought and he fought intelligently with good ideas. I don’t understand why MSNBC doesn’t understand that.

    Fox, for example, does have liberals on. they, at least, fight the conservatives and keep them honest.
