Andra Fuller an actor on The L.A. Complex reported today via Facebook that the 13 episodes of season 2 of the show, will air on The CW beginning in July. The CW has yet to confirm the news, but I don't see any reason to doubt it.

A summer airing of the show in the US is the best that could have been expected. Its US ratings during the past season were woeful, even for the CW, and we knew it would never see US air during the regular broadcast season again.

5/24 update: The CW has responded and declined to confirm the report, and notes that the show is currently not scheduled on their network.

6/6 Update: The CW will broadcast the first seven episodes of season 2 beginning on July 17.

Summer programming makes the most sense for this show.

  • Greg

I thought that would happen. Better the 0.2’s the show’s been pulling than a 0.1 on reruns. And who knows, it might actually improve…

  • Me

Aren’t some shows reruns doing better than this one?

  • ZmaX

wow this is a surprise, but since they don’t have anything worthwhile during the summer, it would be the best option.

  • TMDude

It is not Season 2. It is the 13 additional episodes for the Season 1.

  • Carl

If they are making the episodes anyway for Canadian broadcast then the studio that produces it may as well take whatever the CW was willing to give them for it within reason. Conversely, the CW gets (I assume) dirt cheap new programming to show during a time when they’d only be showing repeats anyway. Seems like a win-win… given that it is a show hardly anyone watches in the US!

By the way, he doesn’t specifies the exact day. He just says the 13 new episodes will air in July.

“It is not Season 2. It is the 13 additional episodes for the Season 1.”

Somebody better tell Andra Fuller then.

“By the way, he doesn’t specifies the exact day. He just says the 13 new episodes will air in July.”

Bad late night reading on my part. Fixed.

  • Travis

Pretty sure it’s Season 2 since Season 1 was only 6 episodes.

  • iknowgoodshows

    july 2012…2013?

  • Brittney

It’s definitely true since the executive producer was at The CW’s upfronts. How cheap is this show?

  • http://tvbythenumbers.com Bill Gorman

    “How cheap is this show?”

    Here’s my guess.

    “july 2012…2013?”

Based on the context, definitely 2012.

  • Jaycee

It is season 2. Here’s an ad for it on Bell Media’s website, the Canadian company that ordered the additional episodes.

I saw that tweet and laughed. Seriously though they must’ve paid so little for it. I won’t be tuning in but good for the cast.

  • Jaycee

If the CW is to air them simultaneously with Much Music in Canada then the premiere date would be July 24th, a Tuesday.

  • http://tvbythenumbers.com Bill Gorman

@Jaycee, “simultaneously” may just mean the same weeks, it may not mean they begin on the same day.

  • iknowgoodshows

no matter how woeful the ratings are…i applaud the cw for keeping the lights on during the summer….somewhat….its better than nothing

  • AC75

Since Nikita pulls 0.4s and LAC manages 0.2-0.3 it’s not a surprise. It’s got to be cheap as dirt.

  • Samuel

This show is really good I’m glad their keeping it as its probably television most overlooked series right now. People really need to discover this show during the summer. It’s way better than Melrose Place.
