    @Loni
    Number of viewers can matter , BUT , it matters more when the older audience is dominated by a highly desirable (wealthy or decision making) demo.

    hi guys. I am from Panama, and a huge fans of all these shows as you are. I dont understand this demographinc thingy- rating/share and then total viewers. Most of you base your comments on the rating/share, but I still dont get.

    Thanks

    Apt 23 is going to drop below 2.0 with Happy Endings as a lead-in.

    Might still be renewable, given ABC’s low standards, but if they think they’ve got a hit here, they are in for a letdown. :)

    Revenge, Scandal and OUAT are my favorite new shows this season. So happy all three had great finale ratings and have been renewed.

    The Idol final chapter changed the day to be seen, in competition with Dancing with the Stars………..so lots of people had to choose… plus I almost missed it as I did not know about the changed dates.

    Its hard to understand a ratings system as screwed up and as pointless as Neilson’s but like everything that should be simple we some how seem to f it up.

    (just don’t let the people who run this site hear you talk bad about Neilson it will get their panties in a bunch faster than anything!)

    @Greg actually you are wrong…can’t you read?

  11. BJH

    Modern Family & Grey’s Anatomy tied in the demo for their finales (4.1/11), yet it was a difference of 1.4 million viewers (GA: 11.44; MF: 10.07).

    @Joseph:

    I wouldn’t be surprised if during the summer one of Idol’s sponsors tells Idol and Fox, “Either cut your premium in half, or we walk.” 3.9 and 4.0 in the 18-49 demo is not worth $500,000 when 6 years ago the show was drawing 3 times that much.

    Mark my words: Somebody’s gonna pull their sponsorship. God help Idol if it is one of their biggest fish who decides to bounce (though I doubt it).

    I’m happy that Revenge got such good ratings. I can’t wait for Season 2 the finale was so shocking !!!

    @Jenny, They should do a where are they now episode on VH1.. those “winners” have next to nothing for careers compared to winners like Kelly C, Carrie U and Chris D.
