    I looked up the following definitions:

    Liberal –
    1. Not limited to or by established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas; FREE FROM BIGOTRY.
    2. Favoring proposals for reform, open to new ideas for progress, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others; broad-minded.

    Conservative –
    1. Favoring traditional views and values; tending to oppose change.
    2. Traditional or restrained in style.

    Yep, that pretty much says it all.

    So, you look over your NBA team, who hasn’t won a game in five years, and wonder whether or not to stick with your 5’7″ to 5′ 9″ white guys, shooting from half court, or do what the other guys are doing, that are beating your team every night by a 120 – 40 score…. and wonder if MAYBE YOU SHOULD CHANGE A FEW THINGS????? The answer is NO,,,, if the owner of the losing NBA team is MessNBC or Cnn…..

    GOP is the Party of HATE:

    I know the one thing the GOP does love…RICH people….so much for following the teaching of Jesus Christ and helping the poor….hypocrites.

    This rhetoric contradicts the fact that republicans give more to charity than democrats…It’s not just money,,Conservatives also donate more time and give more blood,,,even though “liberal families’ incomes average 6 percent higher than those of conservative families, conservative-headed households give, on average, 30 percent more to charity than the average liberal-headed household ($1,600 per year vs. $1,227)”.

  • Steve Perry

    @twins

    Is that the best you got? I know that facts are hard to digest for Republicans such as yourself but you have to comeback with something a little better than “the wheel in the sky keeps turning”. I mean seriously, you can do a little better than that can’t you?

  • Steve Perry

    @Paul

    More and more studies show that Rich people give not out of empathy, but for tax write-offs…just google it if you don’t believe me.

  • Hillbilly

    Nick – Why are CNN ratings considered SO bad? It beats CNBC, HLN, and FOX Business in all of the target demos.

    ———————————————-

    Two of those networks are business networks. Is that a good thing the CNN beats them? Yes! Is it something CNN should base their success on? No! The other (HLN) is their “sister network.” Is it good that you beat your sister? ;)

  • Hillbilly

    I say cut of their aide money for a few years & tell them its payback for the way they sentenced the doctor. :)

    Top Pakistani government officials on Friday said the 33-year prison sentence for the doctor who helped the CIA track down Usama bin Laden is payback for how the U.S. went about getting the Al Qaeda leader, and they shrugged off criticism of the verdict by telling America to stop “over-reacting” and “take a deep breath.”

  • Hillbilly

    Howie Kurtz is hardly a right-winger. If he has some doubts about Walter maybe he wasn’t the guy folks thought he was. I have no idea if the book is well researched & sourced. Take it with a grain of salt.

    To millions of TV news viewers, Walter Cronkite might well have been the most trusted man in America. But, according to a new biography, he committed unethical, biased no-nos that would get him fired these days, writes Newsweek’s Howard Kurtz.

    Read more here.

    If true this is bad.

    There also was the time when Cronkite spliced unflattering segments of an interview with Johnson about the Vietnam War—editing that was later undone by CBS.

  • Hillbilly

    Just kidding Steve Perry. Don’t get mad…just get even. ;)

    An apparently “disoriented” passenger Steve Perry had to be calmed down and subdued on an American Airlines jet Friday as it was taxiing after landing in Miami International Airport, an airline spokesman said.

  • Hillbilly

    Coffee Steve’s daughter will go back to public school if she see’s this. :lol:

    Kentucky becomes second state to make bass fishing a high school sport

    As Cincinnati.com and other national media outlets reported, Kentucky will join Illinois as the second state to sponsor a high school bass fishing state championship, starting next April.

    @Steve Perry

    More and more studies show that Rich people give not out of empathy, but for tax write-offs…just google it if you don’t believe me.
    __________________________________________________________________________________

    There are plenty of tax write offs other than chartible deductions,, besides “liberal families’ incomes average 6 percent higher than those of conservative families..Why would conservatives give more time and blood if their motive’s were selfish? lastly why would I google something so ignorant?
