  • Bart

“Y & R” ratings continue to drop – good!! The shizz on screen is becoming unbearable to watch!!

  • Jordan

Agreed Bart! It’s just unwatchable now…

  • Jeff

GH is good, but it needs to speed up the exit of Matt, wrap up the Maxie in prison non-sense, and get rid of a few of the murderers roaming around. Todd, Sonny, Jason, Johnny, Heather are just a few that freely just skip through town. Personally, I think the show needs to be less about Sonny and Jason. They should be story drivers but not centers of the universe. Mac, Alexis, Anna, Elizabeth, Felicia, Monica, Olivia could drive some story for awhile! Oh yeah, and for the 100th time, bring back Bobbie!

  • Scott

All these soaps are unwatchable. I wish they would just cancel them all. Replace them all with syndicated episodes of classic tv show.

  • Lola

SCOTT WHY THE BLEEP do you care to come here then?

  • j

  • Diana Baskin

Sad that all soaps are in trouble. I only watch YR and am having a hard time doing that. Soaps need writers with imagination so they can stop recycling the same old tired sls.

  • mes

@Scott Hey Frons, wondered where you were

  • James

Sad ratings. GH been good imo. At least GH is still way above The Revolution and a bit over The Chew’s 2.13 million.

  • Loug

I would love to see Kendle come to Port Charles or some other AMC cast members. Come on ABC get with it. And GH showed Robin alive then nothing what with that, Mistake was letting Lukes sons both leave the show.

  • Loug

Yeah we never ever found out what happened to Bobby Spencer its like she was never there in Port Charles

    Bold & Beautiful

    For Life

  • Stephen judson

This breaks the three week streak of growth GH was on. Last week ratings weren’t posted for some strange reason.

  • Jim

I thought for sure GH was going to reduce the mob characters. It’s been a show all about Sonny for the longest time. If they dropped these Sopranos themes they might get somewhere.

  • joshua

YR I think is getting really good. As for GH I just started watching it and I like it. I love Todd on the show from OLTL with Sonny. I even watch Days and it wasn’t bad but I can’t say I could tune in daily.

  • Rickster

B&B is really steady with ratings improvement; I personally do not watch the show, but I’m tempted to sample it based on the ratings alone.

DAYS (my soap since 1992, and yes I’m a 30 year old male) may be down week to week, but it is SLIGHTLY up year to year, so that IS something.

I will say the story lines seem to be moving much more fluidly on DOOL … The handling of Will’s “coming out” couldn’t have been written better in my opinion. It’s not a story that should unfold in 1-2 weeks, but more realistic to every day life. On the other hand, Lexie and her brain tumor seem fake and just “off”. Abe, who should be in intense mourning, just goes about his day with her not even showing the scope of her soon-to-happen death. It all seems cheesy and “not right”.

All in all the soaps are what you should expect them to be. There are great writing teams out there and the soaps could be MUCH worse. If you look at the ratings which seem dismal and compare them to the decline of overall broadcast TV, you’ll realize the trend is over the whole Television industry, not just daytime soaps.

  • Derrick

    Y&R is getting better!
It’s up in household for down in total viewers!
    Yayy for B&B for increasing!

    Wish DAYS would do something!

  • Doris

I absolutely love B&B but it lacks romance, and that is what most women desire in a soap. That is why we watch. There are so many outstanding actors and actresses on this show so it would be easy to include romance. Steffy would be awesome in a romance. The writers should try it.

Stephen judson…GH had been on a four week ratings upswing, dating back to the week of April 16.

I strongly disagree that Y&R is now “unbearable to watch”. I think it’s actually getting a lot better lately. I’ll admit it could be a lot better, but I think the writing has been improving IMHO…..
