   Wow I thought being the Big battle I though Game of Thrones may have hit 4 mil this week. Hopefully HBO doesn’t look at these numbers and decide not to give them such a budget again.

   I mean it was the long weekend, so hopefully thats all it was

   Nice that Mad Men is back over 2 million but I wish it was getting better than a .6. Hopefully it can make it back to a 1.0 for the finale because it’s been at its best these past few episodes.

   They should’ve had these episodes at the beginning to get all those extra casual “TWD” viewers to stay

   Next week season finale of GoT will hit series hights, however the last episode was one of the best episodes of tv show ever.

   Alright! Finally, an increase for the POS Mad Man after 9 straight weeks of declines. I’ll drink to that.

   I finally caught a few minutes of the POS Mad Man. I saw some fat creepy auto exec essentially offer his business to the ad agency if he can sleep with Joan (I won’t call her the fat redhead, OK, Liz and SarahL?). Do you people really find this compelling? I mean: philandering, womanizing, drinking, and creepy potential clients happen ALL THE TIME in modern American life. Why do you need a TV show to experience this stuff?

   I don’t hate the POS Mad Man. I just VERY MUCH ENJOYED making fun of it and how commercially mediocre at best it is. I was annoyed by all the haters of The Walking Dead and I had to dish it back out, at somebody. The POS Mad Man was the natural target. I don’t begrudge you your love of your show. But I do think that the success of TWD and shows like Hatfields & McCoys will raise the standards for commercial success by extended basic cable networks like AMC. Yes, I agree the POS Mad Man will run its 7-year course, but I doubt AMC will be able to browbeat cable and satellite operators for higher subscription fee rates by sheer virtue of positive critical response. AMC and other will have to come up with shows that are both quality AND appeal to more than just a few people. And I think people who pay for cable TV deserve not only quality shows but shows they WANT TO WATCH.

   @Coco the Ice Cream Flavor: Maybe HBO shoots itself in the foot inexplicably submitting 3-minute “Breaks” as shows. Whatever the benefit, it bumps the rest of its programs further down the list.

   @ I Love The Farm – get a grip. I didn’t love MM for the first 3 seasons, but I started to really get into the 4th. It’s a soap. A very well done soap, but still a soap. That’s what makes it enjoyable.

   TWD is a POS, if you want to label. I watch the first season, and ducked out a few episodes into the second. Bad acting, mediocre writing, and stalling for time. Were it not for the zombies, there would be no show, which is why I ducked out – no zombies, no interest.

    This is the first time Girls is in the Top100 and VEEP is not – normally its is the other way around

    im sure GOT dipped due to the holiday weekend. I usually watch it Sunday night but was away so I caught it Monday night. Since the Series average is usually 3.8, that is most likely the case as the season has gotten better since it started so why bail out now?

    I also noticed that they showed the Episode 2X Monday night so they may have anticipated some sort of drop due to people traveling.

    Doug: That is the whole point. No zombies, no interest. When AMC cut the TWD budget to pay Matt Weiner for his money-losing Mad Man, TWD lost zombies. TWD could be a much better show with better investment and care by AMC.

    Get a grip yourself, as well as some information.

    @bb- The Kardashians lost 40% of their viewership, they’re not getting that back.

    @AustinG – They were renewed weeks ago. Pretty sure E! didn’t anticipate those numbers. Nor did they anticipate the complete failure of Mrs Eastwood.

    The Kardashians were the #2 non NBA cable show on the night. They’ll be around a very long time at that ratings level.

    Didn’t see the demos yet but The Killing averaged 1.312M viewers at 9pm and Veep averaged 831,000 viewers in its 10:01p telecast.

    And this is why VH1 is really stupid.

    The second part of the MOB WIVES reunion bombed and yet and the special airing of MOB WIVES CHICAGO didn’t even make the list. Yet, the network orders a third season of the original and a spin-off with one of its stars.

    Cancel this franchise. It is never going to be THE REAL HOUSEWIVES.

    I am waiting for Liz aka Charlie Collier to chime in with her “TV programs are financed by magic fairy dust” argument that AMC did not rob Breaking Bad and TWD to pay Matt Weiner’s $30 million deal for the POS Mad Man. She/he usually jumps on the thread immediately to dispute the basic laws of physics.

    Where are you, Liz/Charlie?
