“CBS SUNDAY MORNING” IS UP +13% IN HOUSEHOLDS, +3% IN VIEWERS AND +8% IN ADULTS 25-54 COMPARED TO THE SAME DAY LAST YEAR
CBS SUNDAY MORNING was the #1 Sunday morning news program in households, viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for May 27. CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.5/11 with 4.76m viewers, 1.3/07 in adults 25-54. CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +13% in households (from 3.1/09), +3% in viewers (from 4.63m) and +8% in adults 25-54 (from 1.2/07) compared to the same day last year. Television year-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +3% in households (3.7/10 from 3.6/10) and even in adults 25-54 (1.4/07) compared to last year.
Sunday’s broadcast included Mark Strassmann’s report on the nation’s interstate highways, Lee Cowan’s interview with NASCAR superstar Jimmie Johnson, Anthony Mason’s look at the world of rock music through the lens of photographer Bob Gruen, and Chip Reid’s visit with World War II hero Louis Zamperini. Also in the mix was Mo Rocca’s chat with actor Philip Seymour Hoffman.
