    Rachel Maddow beat everyone on Fox in the 18-49 group except for O’Reilly at 8 P.M. This month, she may actually break the stranglehold that Fox has had on the top 8 cable news shows ratings for the past eight years or so. Go Rachel. It shows that intelligence and beauty can triumph over ugly fascist propaganda.

  • PaulG

    If Rush or Hannity called a female Dem politician a MILF or a c**t,,media matters and the other liberal org’s against free speech,,would have them off the air by now,,by harassing sponsers…Because they aren’t shock jocks..

  • Rick

    Larry Carey – I will agree with Jim that Mika does not add a lot to the show, but saying “Mika is a dumb blonde” is getting a little personal.

    I do think that her claim to fame is based on her father’s political associations and not based on any special knowledge that she has.

    These talk shows revolve around anchors that have a Political OPINION that they are continually presenting other people that have similar OPINIONS that help reinforce their own OPINION. All of their OPINIONS are based on anecdotal evidence or other OPINIONS. If they could prove position decisively they would no long have a job and we would stop debating whether the Liberals or the Conservatives are right.

    If they wanted to make the show interesting they would put a woman that frequently has an opposite OPINION as Joe Scarbouro. That way they both have to work at convincing each other who is right.

    It is easy to convince a Liberal of a Liberal OPINION and a Conservative a Conservative OPINION. The challenge is convincing Liberals a Conservative OPINION and Conservatives a Liberal OPINION. Pandering to Liberals and Conservative is much easier. They do not have to convince anybody whether they are right or not. They audience just sucks it up without any questions.

    @PaulG

    Don’t even get me started with the things that Rush has said on the air…it’s a losing battle for you….leave it alone.

  • suikostinger

    @Ratboy

    You really DO NOT have a clue do you!! Bill Maher is now competition for cable news???????? You need to go to a grocery store and ask the produce manager for 1 apple and 1 orange, then look at the difference between them, then you might start to understand the phrase “apples and oranges”

    AHAHAHAHA. Are you kidding me!!? People in here all the time poke fun at liberals and the liberal media because they are getting no viewers and say “liberalism is dead” because MSNBC is getting low numbers, yet Bill Maher is getting 4.1 million. Why is it when someone shows in here numbers and facts, people like you turn into huge hypocrites? Showing Bill Mahers numbers (I don’t like the guy at all) just shows the people that say “liberalism is dead” (Which is multiple people in here) because of msnbcs numbers are just DEAD wrong.

  • suikostinger

    @Joan

    If CNN want their numbers way up get Beck back. You talk about an investigative reporter it’s Beck!

    Shows just how bad this country is when people like you actually freaking think Glenn Beck is an investigative reporter! HA!

  • PaulG

    @Steve Perry

    Bush’s policies were in effect until the end of 2009 at which the unemployment rate was at 9.9%…since then, President Obma’s policies have lowered it to 8.2%…that’s actually pretty good.
    ________________________________________________________________________

    Does this mean the claim that we were losing 600 jobs a month when Pres Obama took office and he turned it around,,is inaccurate and misleading??because by the end of 2009 we started to gain jobs..

  • Rick

    I think that Cable is on it way out. Many of the younger people I know do not have Cable. They watch the FREE TV supplimented with Hulu and Netflix. If you want News you watch Network News if you want Opinion of News you watch Cable.

  • suikostinger

    @DB

    that libs resort to name calling when confronted with opposing view points.

    Just libs? Why are you just picking out libs? REALLY funny you say that when you yourself call out names to ANYONE with a different opinion than you ALL the time. Kettle, meet pot.

  • Coffee Steve

    Place yer bets

    Shows job numbers didn’t start getting positive till march 2010, so for the entire calender year of 2009 plus the first couple months of 2010 their was negative job gains

    I’ll take Gov Walker by 3%,,I think it will be closer,,since the news Scott Walker had an illegitimate child with Bristol Palin…

  • Mark

    “Did Rush say anything as bad as Sarah Palin’s Down Syndrome baby was the result of Palin having sex with John Edwards,,what happened to Hannity??”

    (not sure who said this but I assume Maher but……)For argument sake wouldn’t this joke be bipartisan since it attacks both Palin and Edwards.

    ok they were about flat at the end of 2009,,I was being about as serious as Steve Perry’s post,,If you believe without Pres.Obama we would still be losing 600k jobs a month,,then the only ones still working would be Pres Obama and the knuckleheads(borrowed from Steve Perry post) in congress…

  • Joan

    @ Jay Raskin

    What’s funny is the kid looks nothing like Walker :-)

    I think 5 or more, the trend in the past seven days has been steady with the trend model rising each day, and usually that holds true through election day.

    Night Everyone

    Peace
