Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    @Michael
    He does. It’s called FOX.
    ;-)

  • Nick

    Yay for Masterchef! And Hell’s Kitchen too.

  • Kavyn

    The CW doesn’t seem to realize that the concept of ‘summer programming’ doesn’t mean airing the same two shows every day of the week.

  • Alvin

    AGT IS BEAST!

    Whitney please help save Grimm on Friday nights.

  • Vivian

    Mondays on Fall are going to be fun. NBC is really going to be strong with The Voice and Revolution.
    The viewers comments about Revolutiom are 99% positive. Then no Castle or Hawaii 50 are great hits, just modest performers. But I do think Castle has the most loyal fandom because of Nathan Fillion that drives woman crazy, so probably Hawaii will suffer the most, specially with 2.5 man gone.
    Grimm is repeating well considering is NBC.

  • scifi

    Grimm repeat is doing better than Castle repeat. So Grimm originals can do better than Castle’s 2.0-2.5 at mondays!

  • Survivor Fan

    I am laughing at the 0 share for Catalina. Great ratings across the board for originals last night

  • rob60990

    “Grimm repeat is doing better than Castle repeat. So Grimm originals can do better than Castle’s 2.0-2.5 at mondays!”

    You can’t tell how a show will do in originals by its repeat ratings.

  • SarahL

    Grimm is repeating very well. NBC made a good decision putting it after American Ninja Warrior. NBC must be pleased with those demos.

  • rick

    Network tv has gone to reality hell. Very boring.

  • Oliver

    NBC are really working hard to build up Grimm.

    The CW’s zero share is pretty atrocious.

  • NEK5552

    It is funny NBC is getting better ratings now than they did during the regular season

  • djnick54

    Someone said boycott of AGT is shaping up, what ratings where you looking at! AGT KILLED with more then DOUBLE total viewers then any other show on the air that night, more then 12 million viewers, those numbers are INCREDIBLE, thanks HOWIE!

  • Ultima

    @Petar
    So Monday now is NBC day all year long! Good. With Sunday in the fall and may be strong tuesdays and fridays they will be #2 network next year.

    Right. The fall cycle of The Voice might make up for the Super Bowl, so they’ll be competitive with ABC again. Don’t think there’s any chance they actually beat FOX though.

    Their Fridays will do ok, but it’s still Friday and their Thursdays will do worse than that! I don’t think they’re going to do very well on Tuesdays.

  • Ultima

    @In My Opinion
    I WOULD HAVE AIRED ON THE CW :
    (lots of repeats)

    Because running repeats all summer has worked so well for the CW in the past?

  • Ultima

    @Kavyn
    The CW doesn’t seem to realize that the concept of ‘summer programming’ doesn’t mean airing the same two shows every day of the week.

    They’re not going to run them three times a week, every week. It was just to get additional exposure for the premieres (which is a fairly common practice on the CW, even during the regular season).

  • Ultima

    @Alvin
    Whitney please help save Grimm on Friday nights.

    Wait. What?

    @rick
    Network tv has gone to reality hell.

    Yeah, they should just air repeats all summer…

    @djnick
    Someone said boycott of AGT is shaping up, what ratings where you looking at!

    You need a new sarcasm detector. ;)

  • Mi

    Grimm repeats well. I hope the repeats help it gain some new audience when it returns, especially considering it won’t be airing against SPN and will only be airing against Fringe for half a season..

  • Rick

    @ Liam, that is an awesome idea! Those shows haven’t really been in syndication for a while; they could do pretty well. It’s sad to have to do that, but they’ve gotta generate some interest SOMEhow.

  • CrimTV

    @Clarke

    Yes, The CW hit 0.0/0 with a past show called CWNow.

    To be honest, i’ve grown tired of people laughing at The CW’s ratings, you’ve had a long time to laugh about them and they’re still funny? I’ve had enough of people saying LOL haha their ratings are awful. Some people’s favourite shows on this network (including me) and when the ratings get low we feel disappointed but others just laugh at them!
