   I am glad Rizzoli & Isles did well without the closer lead-in and having it lead out a new night. I can never stand cop shows, but this one with the two main characters is really cool.

   I never watched many episodes of ABC Family shows, but I have watched around one and a half season of PLL. From what I have watched and also reviews, the consensus is that these shows started off and even gain viewers for the first two seasons, but then the storylines started dragging out and people lose interest. The core fans will stay, but the casual ones drift away. Maybe it is time for ABC Family to relook their model, and instead of milking shows with solid ratings, it should try to keep series short and sweet and not slowly decline. Same should apply to all networks.

   I’m not sure how you can compare a show like True Blood to that of The Lying Game. True Blood is an international phenomenon. The Lying Game, well, is nowhere near that. True Blood has a lot of fans from different age groups. The Lying Game targets teenagers, and that’s nearly all of their fanbase. I doubt you would find many people over the age of 18 who regularly watch.

   My point is, a show like True Blood can afford to take a long hiatus. A show like The Lying Game cannot.

   PLL has to be the most successful teen girl drama in a long time.

   I thought the NBA game would be much higher than that, they really need the Bulls to get back in there next season.

   My girls at TNT R&I got it done without The Closer but F&B needs to go. I can’t wait for DALLAS NEXT WEEK! WHO SHOT JR?

   So glad Gary Johnson was on Daily Show last night. .6 demo and 1.5 million viewers is nice.

   And I watch The Lying Game. GH fan I am and Tyler Christopher (ex-Nikolas) is on it. Show is good as well.

   Jane By Design disappoints. When The Lying Game aired after PLL it hit series highs. I’m irritated with ABC Family for waiting so long to bring back The Lying Game. It probably would have pulled higher numbers over the summer.

   Bunheads is a promising show quality wise,but Secret Life is so deflated it’s not a good lead-in anymore.So any positive buzz or reviews will be helpful.

   People seriously expected bigger numbers for PLL? These ratings are great. Most CW shows struggle to hit one million. So hush!

   Pretty Little Liars really didn’t help The Lying Game that much. I remember The Lying Game hitting a 1.7 or 1.8 million viewers once or twice behind Pretty Little Liars, but it typically hit 1.4-1.5 during its winter run behind the show.
   As much as ABC Family had been promoting the return of Pretty Little Liars(a TON), yes, I think most of us expected bigger numbers. I don’t think anyone is saying the numbers aren’t very good, just not as good as most thought they’d be. They are down quite a bit from the show’s winter premiere and finale.

    For some reason, there has been VERY LITTLE promotion for Jane By Design’s return. While for Pretty Little Liars, tons of promotion. You see commercials for its return every five seconds on ABC Family. I only found out Jane By Design was returning a few days ago because they only recently posted promo clips like a few days ago!

    Regardless, Jane By Design got a decent number in total viewers. Better than it got for the first part of season 1. And apparently, there were also gains in the target demographic for it.

    Vampire Diaries was doing 1.1 for the last half of the season. ABC fam ratings are better because the cable model is cheaper for show production. CW would kill for those ratings again.

    When The Lying Game aired after PLL it hit series highs.
    PLL had higher numbers when it premiered in the winter as a lead-in as opposed to now. 3.34 vs. 2.9. Of course TLG got better numbers than Jane.

    Yep. Abc Family didn’t start airing clips of the new season until about a week before it’s premiere. All things considered JBD did just fine. At least it’s steady.

    Wow..those are horrible numbers for THE GLEE PROJECT..Im really surprised considering all the promotion Oxygen put into this show.

    I don’t understand it. Would ‘The Game’ get nearly 2.5 million viewers if it was still on CW? For some reason, I don’t think so. It’s so strange to me. It’s like people refuse to watch CW for some reason.
