The NBA Conference finals (Spurs/Thunder) on TNT were the number one program of the night with a 4.1 adults 18-49 rating. The CMT Music Awards came in second with a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating.

People said that Spurs can’t be beat. Big flaws for the Thunder are:
1. Jump shooting. It will catch up w/them soon
2. Inexperience. Firs time ever in the NBA Finals.
But watch out for tonight Heat/Celtics. This game will easily get a 5.0 rating. If less, that will be a disappointment imo
Thunder certainly the best young team in NBA right now. And the Celtics are the best old team! Hope Celts do pull it out. I’m learning never to write them off. I do wish the Spurs had made it.
Look for 12+ mil for tonight’s game if the game stays close. That would set the record for an NBA game on cable
@Tati do you honestly think the Celtics(or Heat but not likely) can beat the Thunder? Sure it will be tough but I can’t see the OKC losing especially with home-court advantage
summer shows all starting slow this year. I suspect people haven’t quite realized they’re starting to broadcast them yet. We’ll see.

It skewed pretty old for a genre show. It was a terrible show and a copycat of TWD. And it wasn’t on against True Blood last season. It was on at 10 last season and True Blood was on at 9pm. So you’re wrong.

I think Melissa and Joey’s problem is that it goes up against ABC’s Wednesday family comedy block. Even in repeats, The Middle gets double Melissa and Joey’s ratings. You’d think someone would’ve thought of that, as ABC and ABC Family are part of the same company!
wow royal pains. it did get a 1.0 but didn’t it lose half its audience?. it was getting 6-6 1/2 million. i know it lost me when they made the brother look like the good guy shutting the door in hanks face last season. i guess i wasn’t the only one that stopped watching.
Thunder/Heat would likely be the most anticipated matchup but a Celtics/heat would be no ratings slouch either – let’s face it the Thunder is the most exciting team in the NBA right now!

Hey my leedle hockey friends I haven’t forgotten you!! – are you praying for the Heat to lose tonight? Ya better!! because if the Heat wins, the Saturday NBA Game 7 will simply trample that likely final game 5 for the NHL in Newark; not that much of America would notice though

The hockey game struggled mightily and still lost to the NBA PRE-GAME – despite this being potentially the final Stanley Cup game – held in the massive LA market – c’mon!

What’s that? you ask – Oh it’s the attempt by the first poster (my hockey friend Rabbit) – to try to lessen the sting of the humiliation by mouthing a few nothing words about how NBCSN’s barely there 2 million audience has some kind of silver lining – in a word NO! – there’s no positive here Rabbit, this is where hockey fan’s ridiculous bombast and bigotry fueled animus against the NBA for years come up against harsh reality – deal with it!
Hockey is less than a second thought in this country and nothing’s gonna change that – as I said before, now that the NHL has been telecasting all its games it may only cause people who were indifferent to it to decide that they really do NOT like hockey at all.

@Nick I agree. I’ve always thought of that why would ABC Family try to create a comedy block on Wednesdays when people already know about ABC’s family friendly comedy block. Switch it to Thursdays so the people who watch The Middle repeats can watch M&J as they attract the same audience.

Did anyone catch Discovery’s new car show at 10PM “Fast N’ Loud”? I did, and really liked it, but just wanted some other opinions.
Regardless of lead-in, having 0.8 for a repeat episode at 12:46am looks really good for Falling Skies.
Melissa & Joey is one of the best cable comedies on right now. I predict that Anger Management will be the top cable comedy for a long time. Melissa & Joey was better off being with the TGIF lineup on ABC as its a perfect fit with them.
NBA game was a monster as its good to see the NBA get huge numbers without the Lakers or Mavs involved in the Western Conference Finals. The Finals are going to be a beast this year just like last year.
Stanley Cup Finals did so well for NBCSN as their reach for viewers is so huge right now as I still remember when they got only 400,000 viewers when the NHL started airing on this network as Versus. Like the poster on page one said this is great for the Olympics as the reach for viewers will be opened up even more. If the Devils win this Saturday I’m looking for a huge number for NBC on Monday for Game 6.
Necessary Roughness started out solid with no lead-in just like R&I the night before.
