Still better than any episode of Game of Thrones.
Best vampire show ever.
HAHA GoT!
@velouria00
That’s because you dont have to think to watch TB. In fact, you’re better off if you DONT think while watching it
They’re still great ratings.
The BEST summer show!!!!
@Melisandre
I’m not defending either show. I actually think both are mediocre at best. The only good drama HBO has in its current roster is Treme and possibly The Newsroom.
Down only 3%?
Where’s the sixth season announcement? lol
and even Robert or Bill can’t deny that tb is much cheaper than got
Excellent number, but it’s official–the show’s popularity has peaked. They should give it two more seasons after this, and then let it go.
GOT V TB? Both shows stink but both do fine ratings dont understand comparing them.
It’s all good – I watch both and enjoy both, but for completely different reasons. I do however think TB’s popularity is decreasing (it’s not dead..just decreasing) and honestly if this season is anything like last season, I will give up on it too LOL
Pam! Pam! Pam!
Down is a little draconian. I think slightly down or even even is more accurate.
That’s not even that much lower than its highest rated episode, I’d say true blood can still make new records for sure!
that is so cool! hope the same ratings next week!
I think True Blood can be a bit of a mess at times but last night’s episode was a good start to season 5…
Down is down.
This show is a mind blowing train wreck that I can’t take my eyes off of. It’s NEVER boring!
Barely. I see it actually improving throughout the season if they keep the quality up. So, hopefully it surpasses Season 4′s… eventually. Alan Ball and co should be rewarded for getting the show on the right track again.
Down is down.
Indeed, if it had been up by 5% instead of down 5% and the headline would’ve been ‘True Blood” Season 5 Premiere Ratings Up vs. Last Year” would anyone have complained about the use of the word “*Up*?
