I’m not a woman 18 to 49, but I watch CBS Sunday morning every week (so there’s an open invitation to any women, 18-to-49, to come on over)! ;-D

  • Ralph Hahn

I’m not a woman 18 to 49 either, but I would encourage everyone to watch CBS News Sunday Morning, too. It’s the only CBS News program that can hold its head high, worthy to be called a program “from the house that Murrow built.”

  • RJ

They went from 2.20 to 2.23? Wowwww, big accomplishment there. ;)

  • HT

Growth is growth – and it’s actual news. Well worth a look.

TV GORD and Ralph— This story is not about CBS News Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood. This story is about the Monday-Friday program, “CBS This Morning” with Charlie Rose and Gayle King.

I watched the Today show for years and got tired of their National Inquirer programming. Good Morning America is the same, so I switched to CBS. At first I wasn’t sure that I’d like Gayle King, but I do, and if you want good programming not based on what’s on Entertainment Tonight, and want great news stories, combined with music, writers, and laughs from time to time, give them a try!

  • Ted

CBS This Morning and Morning Joe are the only two programs on television that can legitimately call themselves morning news programs. I hope CBS continues to let Charlie Rose bring credibility back to morning news!

  • Deena

    I agree with Ted 100%

  • Jamie

If two people watch your show and you add 1 more view that’s a huge gain percentage wise!!! Let’s get real…fox and friends beats CBS This Morning…The Early Show was much better. They just don’t know what they are doing over there. You bring a cable concept over to a network and surprise!!! you get cable ratings numbers. CBS isn’t even relevant in the mornings. Fire them all and bring back Captain Kangaroo.

  • Ryan

Ted and Deena are clearly shills for Chris Licht and those two unwatchable programs…Licht produced Morning Joe and is the EP of CBS This Morning. No one is watching…by next May they will be under 2 million viewers per day.

I don’t live in a major media market, so I probably don’t count. I watched the Today Show for years, but it hasn’t been the same for quite some time. Meredith was fine, but i was so used to Katie. Also, i used to love Todays first 30 minutes. now, i cant stand to watch it for news or their analysts. Good Morning America doesn’t fit my taste either, ive never iidentified with their talent or approach, ever. This show on CBS…I’d recommend folks giving it a chance. The guests actually answer questions, I learn a little something, and get to work a little smarter person. God knows I need the help. The anchors seem to delight in it, too.

The last time I watched the highlight was the local weahter when they cut in briefly. It was like some teenagers sat around and watched “You tube” and then play that as if it is news or even worse a segment from Stewart or some other comedian. CBS should be embarrassed. As for the Sunday version…Charles Osgood has always been good and solid.

  • Patrick

CBS This Morning is a fine program, delivers the news succinctly and without all the fluff. When comparing my options amongst the 3 primary networks, “the house that Murrow built (or Cronkite)” wins. Simply put, CBS This Morning gets it right. The music and graphics are not IN YOUR FACE, neither ARE THE ANCHORS and their stories are not mind-numbing sensationalist dribble. Really… who cares how many more babies fall out of Michelle Duggar’s canyon, who cares what Kim Kartrashian wore last night or how I might learn to roast a chicken in the all too RUSHED 1.5 minute segments?!? 7am ain’t the place for all that noise. Just stick to the facts, do some thought provoking interviews and run a few interesting story packages. CBS This Morning should make the network proud and leave its viewers feeling engaged, to one degree or another.

CBS is a great morning show and far better than Today, which I watched for years and finally gave up on.
    Give CBS a chance!

As a longtime Today show devotee since the NBC debacle of firing Ann Curry whom I do not believe was a good anchor I have become a CBS This Morning viewer. Charlie Rose & Gayle King are superb & I’m a big fan of Chris Licht. GO CBS!
