For the first time ever, Lou Dobbs Tonight on Fox Business Network beat The Kudlow Report on CNBC  at 7 PM for a whole week in total viewers, according to TV Newser. The numbers for last week break down as follows:

Lou Dobbs Tonight: 139,000 total viewers, 28,000 A25-54

The Kudlow Report: 122,000 total viewers, 32,000 A25-54

Congrats to Lou, state run media is crumbling, CNN people are dropping like flies, it’s a great day.

  • Ralph Hahn

As Joe Biden would say “This is a big —— deal!”

  • Gary

Oh good, since nothing went wrong for him this time, he won’t have something to blame on illegal immigrants. Progress!

  • AppleStinx

139,000 viewers is up there with CNBC’s total day average of late, with FBN’s coverage being 60% that of CNBC.

  • Spen B

28,000 viewers in the demo = 0.02 rating.

    Good job.

  • TatiG

139k is much less toxic than the anti-hispanic platform he had on CNN. I will live with that.

  • Jo

Olbermann did a great Dobbs imitation.

  • american

    great job mr.Dobbs,olbermann would’nt make a pimple on mr.dobbs american a**.

    @Apple Stinx: >>> …with FBN’s coverage being 60% that of CNBC. <<<

I don't think that many here picked up or understood what you had written. That FBN is only available to 60% of the market nationwide, compared to a probable total clearance rate for CNBC.

In his first year at CBS, Letterman didn't have the clearence rate that Leno had on NBC but he beat Jay anyway. But, an appearance by Hugh Grant on "Tonight" had pretty much kept Leno slightly above Letterman since that time (except for Conan's brief shot on "Tonight"), NBC has beaten CBS in the 11:30-12:30 hour and each share about the same network affiliate clearance.

So, FBN is on the rise. Its sister network, Fox News, has been #1 in cable news form something like 10-15 years now, but its climb to #1 wasn't all of a sudden in the beginning.

Any idea where Imus is at in the ratings? I know the radio ratings are fantastic

Of course FOX Business will dominate business news in-time and is right on-schedule…

…Circa this coming November 5, 2012: OBAMA’S DECISIVE DEFEAT DEFIES POLLING AND PUNDIT PREDICTIONS TOUTING A CLOSE ELECTION !

…SURPRISE: NEW YEAR DAY ARRIVES A DAY AFTER THE LAST OF DECEMBER !

Congrats Lou. I still laugh at the way you used to call out the ACORN big wigs for their denials about the federal indictments of the organization. I think that got you booted from CNN more than the borders issues.

  • dana

I always felt that Lou would do great with a prime time show on Fox..he will one day take over Gretas time slot or Shepards….

  • city kitty

Lou’s show is GREAT! I watch it every night. So much better than Shep Smith. I really like the commentary on the business consequences of what has happened each day.
And, he took over the chalk boards that Beck left!!!

  • Trey

People are starting to see MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS as state run media. Guess what? Fox is gonna eat y’all alive!

  • George

@Robert Seidman…Why don’t you put a ‘like’ button with the comments.

  • lisa

After inauguration OF President romney STOCK MARKET WILL BE UP AND PROPERTY WIL BE BACK TO GREAT VALUE AND ECONOMY WILL MUCH BETTER

  • Jay

Lou Dobbs is anti-hispanic? His wife is Mexican.

So, by me saying I don’t believe that a cop or fireman should receive $100k+ annual pensions after retiring 20-25 yrs, without a disability (5-10x more than a maimed Iraq/Afg vet), is being anti cop or fireman? Not at all… That assessment, just like Lou reporting on deficiencies in immigration, is just an observation of something that can lead to potential long term financial and moral issues.

Again, disagreeing with Obama makes me a bigot (despite being the same race)?

If you are going to call out Lou as a bigot, please provide the evidence and facts (unless you are enrolled in the MSNBC LP training program).
