CBS NEWS’ “FACE THE NATION” IS THE #1 PUBLIC AFFAIRS SHOW ON SUNDAY, JUNE 17

“FACE THE NATION” IS FIRST IN HOUSEHOLDS, VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54

“FACE THE NATION” IS UP +12% IN HOUSEHOLDS, +15% IN VIEWERS AND +20% IN ADULTS 25-54 COMPARED TO LAST YEAR

            CBS News’ FACE THE NATION was the #1 public affairs show on Sunday, June 17, placing first in households, viewers and adults 25-54. The CBS broadcast posted a 1.9/06 in households, 2.62m viewers and 0.6/03 in adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. Editor’s Note: FACE THE NATION’s second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 65% of the CBS affiliates.

FACE THE NATION is up +12% in households (from 1.7/05), +15% in viewers (from 2.28m) and +20% in adults 25-54 (from 0.5/03) compared to last year.

Television year-to-date, FACE THE NATION is up +11% in households (2.1/06 from 1.9/05), +6% in viewers (2.94m from 2.78m) and +14% in adults 25-54 (0.8/03 from 0.7/03) compared to last year. Television year-to-date, FACE THE NATION is first in adults 25-54.

On the broadcast, Bob Schieffer interviewed Mitt Romney at a stop on his campaign bus tour in Pennsylvania. Schieffer also interviewed Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and former Gov. Howard Dean (D-Vt.) and hosted a political roundtable with Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan, National Review editor Rich Lowry, CBS News Political Director John Dickerson and CBS News Chief Legal and Political Correspondent Jan Crawford.

FACE THE NATION is broadcast on Sundays at 10:30 AM, ET (check local listings) on the CBS Television Network. Mary Hager is the Executive Producer. FACE THE NATION is one of the longest-running news programs in the history of television. It premiered on CBS on Nov. 7, 1954. The program broadcasts from Washington, D.C., where Schieffer has spent more than 40 years covering government and politics. He has anchored FACE THE NATION since 1991. Guests include government leaders, politicians and global figures in the news.

    I was appalled today how Bob let the Face the Nation program, let the rebulbicans use as a place to run down the President of the United States, showing no respect for the highest office of our Country, Bob is not by-partisem like he is suppose to be , he should go to Fox News .His own personal feelings latly have been transparent ! So go Bob to the Fox News …..so disappointed in how your are so Rude to Our President ….
