Brad, with all due respect, I don’t think you know what a pedophile is.
Frankly, when somebody writes something like that there is no respect due.
Leterman might be a womanizer, but saying he’s a pedophile is going too far.
Heck…even womanizer is a bit of a stretch. He’s no Bill Clinton.
Brad, you better look up what a pedophile is.
Letterman just hit-on, had affairs with the girls who were hired to work for his company.
As tacky as it makes Dave look, it’s not a crime.
Correct…often lost in the spin is that while what Dave did is sort of creepy, he was the victim of a felony crime…and the blackmailer was convicted of such.
Brad, you better look up what a pedophile is.
Correction:
Letterman just hit-on, had affairs with the WOMEN(girls) who were hired to work for his company.
As tacky as it makes Dave look, it’s not a crime.
I didn’t want to confuse you, Brad.
Letterman’s smackdown of Justin Bieber was quite funny last night.
Bieber, however, bombed three times this week. His ABC special was a bomb, his NBC one a bomb, and Letterman’s numbers for lastnight were anemic.
Guess Biebermania is fading out.
Sorry guys, I was trying to say that they were younger than he was. I didn’t mean it in the literal sense. We all know Letterman wasn’t raping kids and I certainly knew that. Again, sorry about that.
However, being the womanizer that he was and probably still is, Leno should be proud that he’s barely betting a man with more demons in him than any other host? I wouldn’t. I would expect to crush a man like that.
Brad, Leno beat Letterman for Carson’s coveted seat and had it for more than 20 years.
Safe to say Leno has won!
Correction, Mario…Leno weaseled and connived his way into Carson’s coveted seat and had it for more than 20 years.
And another correction for Mario. Season to date (9 months) Leno is tied with Letterman at 0.8 in the 18-49 demo. He’s won many recent weeks but has not won the 2011 – 2012 season.
Yes, Leno is the king of late night television…although his throne is a toilet….
See, the difference between Mario and I is that, as a Conan fan, I actually note any mistakes he’s made and how well or badly he currently does in the ratings. On the other hand, Mario keeps on insisting that Leno is “king”, even though his 18-49 ratings have fallen below those of Conan’s Tonight Show and that he has tied Letterman in recent times.
Aaron and Diana…not that it would happen, but do you think Conan’s numbers would rise if he were to return to the east coast, specifically New York?
I still think one of the reasons he’s struggling in LA is that it’s a different type of humor there.
I just don’t see his target audience liking that LA-Lenoish bland vanilla humor as much as cutting edge.
“However, being the womanizer that he was and probably still is, Leno should be proud that he’s barely betting a man with more demons in him than any other host? I wouldn’t. I would expect to crush a man like that.”
Brad, I wonder what kind of “ratings swing” there would be if Leno had Letterman’s CBS lead-in and Letterman had Leno’s NBC lead-in?
Mark, open your eyes dude! The reason why Conan is struggling is because he SUCKS and isn’t funny! He wrote for a dumbass cartoon which does NOT translate to standup!
Before Conan got Tonight they showed an interview clip where he ADMITTED he has ZERO standup experience! NONE! THAT is why he’s bombing!
“Brad, I wonder what kind of “ratings swing” there would be if Leno had Letterman’s CBS lead-in and Letterman had Leno’s NBC lead-in?”
Very true kScott. If NBC was more like themselves in the 90′s, this could be totally different. It is kinda funny though, in the 90′s Letterman had no solid lead-in and now when he does, he himself tarnishes it with his personal agenda.
Mario, you’re frankly growing tiresome.
So one must have stand up experience to host The Tonight Show?
So Steve Allen, Jack Paar, and Johnny Carson were not qualified to host the show. Damn shame.
And if you don’t think that being a main writer for The Simpsons, which HAS BEEN ON MUCH LONGER THAN LENO, and SNL, WHICH WILL BE AROUND MUCH LONGER THAN LENO WILL BE, doesn’t count, then there is nothing anybody can say to open your remarkable closed mind.
And Conan is not struggling…wanna place a bet on who will be on TV in 2015, Conan or Leno?
So just DVR a bunch of Leno episodes and get yourself off.
Mario must not understand math and numbers…his boy Leno’s ratings are sinking to a point where, within the next year or so, he might tie Conan. Leno’s ratings are sinking like a rock.
And take a look at how Conan is doing in the world of social media…the strongest I’ve ever seen for a celebrity or tv show. Does anybody actually go to Leno’s website? He has next to no facebook followers, which is interesting because the fastest growing segment of facebook is Leno’s present biggest demographic, the AARP crowd.
