truTV has ordered 15 episodes for the second season of Impractical Jokers, with plans to launch the new season in December 2012.

Impractical Jokers hi-res publicity photos are available in the truTV newsroom:

Ever since they were little kids growing up together, Q, Murr, Joe and Sal have challenged one another to do the most ridiculous public dares imaginable. Now, to find out who’s best under pressure, they're competing in unbelievably awkward and outrageous hidden-camera hijinks. Then, at the end of each episode, the loser must attempt the most mortifying challenge ever.

Impractical Jokers premiered to critical acclaim last December and quickly became one of truTV's biggest hits, especially among young adults. Since its premiere, the show has averaged 2 million viewers in its first season, including more than 1.3 million adults 18-49 and 773,000 men 18-49. < i style="font-size: 12px;">Impractical Jokers is also one of truTV's youngest-skewing series, scoring a median age of only 32. In addition, the show's Facebook page has drawn more than 235,000 fans, a remarkable achievement for a series that's only six months old.

Impractical Jokers comes to truTV from NorthSouth Productions (Say Yes to the Dress), with Charlie DeBevoise and Mark Hickman serving as executive producers. For truTV, Adam Dolgins serves as executive in charge of production and Angel Annussek serves as execu tive producer.

This is the funniest series of the past years!

  • Ryan

This show is a joke. They ripped off the Lex & Terry radio show.

  • Matt

Funniest show on TV, nothing else makes me laugh out loud more. It’s about time TruTV!!

Was just in the Netherlands- and there’s a show just like this on, not sure who ripped who off…the jokers get along just the same as these guys do…makes me wonder who’s acting.
The name isn’t the same, but they play the same jokes with exact format.

The Netherlands version is based on Impractical Jokers. There have been many other international spin-offs as as well that the guys have mentioned on facebook. I believe it was Murray that actually went overseas to visit the set of on of the international versions.

I really enjoy this show, but my only concern, is how long will they be able to continue doing this until people start to realize? I know there’s a lot of people on this earth, but there’s bound to be those in pinches everywhere that watch Tru TV. — Am excited for this news though, I’ll be watching!

Wondering if they’ll do that game where a joker has to convince someone that they know them. I think Sal’s a perfect 3-0 in that.

To clarify, by “start to realize” I mean, their faces are known, they [strangers] may get the idea.

Awesome! This is one of the funniest shows on TV.
