Dallas was the top cable program Wednesday night with a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating down 0.2 from last week's premiere. The number two cable original was Royal Pains which earned a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating down from a 1.1 last week.

We only receive the top 100 cable shows for adults 25-54 for the whole day from our primary source, if you don't see your show it wasn't in that top 100 list.

The list below is long but you can use your browsers "find on page" feature (usually CTRL+F or CMD+F) to search - that's probably the easiest way to find last night's episode of Operation Repo.

wow. The M&J/Baby Daddy pairing worked out well. I was hoping BD would help out M&J and I was right. Hopefully they stay steady or grow. I found Baby Daddy great last night and I bet it only gets better as pilots are usually my least favorite episodes especially for comedies. Nice work ABC Family! Now find 2 more comedies for the 9pm hour for next summer!

  • Don

The older viewers expected too much. Bobby and JR are in their twilight years. Their sons are the new stars of the show as planned to be. Notice they are in front of the line but saving the best for last is always a great thing in the Staring roll call. “Larry Hagman AS JR Ewing.”

  • Don

If this Dallas hold up. It will only complement the Classic Series. No different than BBC’s Sci Fi classic Doctor Who.

  • Martin

Just checked the other days for ABC Family.

Baby Daddy had more viewers than Bunheads and Jane By Design and both that and Melissa And Joey were only 0.1 of a rating point behind Secret Life and beat both previous mentioned shows.

Also, Baby Daddy was only a few thousand viewers behind Secret Life too.

I hope for a renewal for both comedys soon even though we’ll have to wait a few weeks to see how numbers level out.

I think they are trying to get Melissa And Joey to syndication numbers, what do others on here think??

  • Martin

Also, surprised how well The Soul Man premiered at, considering it is the first TVLand sitcom not launched behind Hot In Cleveland. And the repeat did pretty well too, does anyone have numbers for the repeat of The Exes, curious to see how that repeated itself.

  • Jase

Just getting back into watching M&J regularly (it’s pretty good). I also thought BD was pretty entertaining too.

Dallas was good once again this week and will be appointment viewing the rest of the summer for sure.

  • Phill

dallas its such a god show and i hope it keep performing well ans we get a renewal :)

  • The End

A 1.3 is great for cable, even with a budget like Dallas has, it should be renewed on that.

  • CharlieSheen

Dallas is starting to turn into one of the best shows on television right now. This show is amazingly good, very well written, and very well acted. It was good to see Cliff Barnes enter the series as I didn’t know he would be apart of this series.

I expected Dallas to fall some in viewers since last week was basically just a reunion week with heavy sampling but if Dallas maintains these numbers that’ll be great for TNT plus its going to be a huge cash cow overseas like CSI and Nikita. I don’t ever remember TNT outside of the NBA having this much success on a Wednesday night so TNT has grounds right now to potentially bring Dynasty back next summer and compliment it. Its doing better than expected in the demo also.

TNT is overall having possibly their best summer season so far as all three nights are over 4 million viewers and with USA starting to sink a bit TNT may capture the cable title this year.

The comedies are back big time right now as ABC Family and TV Land are doing well. Their programming their comedies better than ABC, NBC, and FOX. Babby’s Daddy is doing unexpectedly well for ABCF as they’ve finally found their two comedies. ABCF is seeing success now because they were patient to get comedies established on their network.

  • Kurt

Dallas held up pretty well and the late night airing not that bad either as they seem to get an extra audience from that airing.

Baby’s Daddy is definitely a shocker!

Poor Hollywood Heights, I swear Hollywood Heights and The L.A. Complex are like the two most overlooked shows on television right now.

  • Ram510

YAAAY Melissa & Joey!!!!!!! Hope it stay at or above a .7 same for Baby Daddy which was actually pretty good! I like the actors especially Melissa Peterman. I hope she has a significant role in the series like on Reba. The both almost matched Secret Life this week

I’m on Team Dallas just because I like to see scripted content get big ratings and not reality crap

Futurama was ok it was a weaker episode compared to last seasons. I’m sure it’ll get better as the season goes on as it usually does. The ratings are fine

I didn’t realize Soul Man and Exes started last night I will definitely be watching from now on though

  • Overdamoon

ITA, CharlieSheen. Couldn’t have said it better myself.

JR got some amazingly humorous quotes last night.

  • s0303

dallas held up better than i thought it would :)

  • The End

Indeed, if Dallas keeps these numbers it will pretty much be renewed without any doubt. Those who say otherwise are just clueless or dislike the show. Either of those is realistic to describe such people.

Dallas fans have absolutely nothing to worry about, until perhaps the 18-49 dips below 1.0, though unlikely.

Both Dallas and Falling Skies at the moment are sure things for renewal.

  • toons

i wish futurama had done better but they are still solid for comedy central… they were the highest rated show on the network… and comedy reruns futurama all over the place so they are invested in keeping that as well

i do wonder if futurama was on adult swim how it would do… i bed much better

funny for a show with 20 million facebook likes that it get less than 2 million to watch preem

i know so many people who dont know when the show comes back or even that it had returned… and when i tell them about the new eps they realize they’ve seen the new ones… they just saw them in the rerun cycle and didn’t realize it

  • The End

    Two points

    1. Facebook is worldwide, thus those likes have come from people in other countries.

    2. The Nielsen system used in America doesn’t show actual viewers. Currently there is no system used to track actual cable/satelite viewers. So don’t feel down in that regard, you never know, more than 2 million viewers could of watched Futurama but wern’t tracked :)

  • Nadine

And there it goes….. but it is so far beating Royal Pains. Funny that a rerun of BBT beat it but then both channels are owned by the same company.

  • Nadine

BTW, Dallas probably cost a lot to produce — much more than those little shows on USA. I’m not saying it’s in trouble yet — but both it & Falling Skies are facing cheap competition.

  • Nadine

Actually, Necessary Roughness is suffering on USA. And I don’t know if it will recover much, unless RP starts picking up some of the steam from previous seasons.

  • Nadine

@Katrina — yeah, I’m hoping Dallas tanks, I admit it. Not just because it’s too dull for me (and it is), but mainly because I’m a (guilty pleasure) RP fan, and they oppose one another. Not entirely irrational, you see.
