Jeffie– the home of democratic talking post. Everyone pls note that Obama’s foreign policy successes are almost entirely due to his keeping Bush’s policies in place. How is that closing of Quantanamo going? Unemployment down?? Now that is a whopper!! You forgot to mention the 5 trillion in government debt he has accrued all by himself. The country has fewer jobs than when he took office– not sure where that four million number that the dems continually spout comes from. Oh you forgot to mention this is the slowest recovery in our history. Also forgot to mention he had both houses for two years so that obstruction charge is false. But hey, Michele may or may not have insulted the flag– that’s important too.
” The only name I called suiko was liberal which I will admit was not nice but true.”.
A complete, 100% lie. I’ve seen you call him names. Now I’m going back to my corner.
@ Jeff
Sorry Jeff but your ‘facts’ are bogus:
“4million plus jobs created, unemployment down, corps at all time record profits” Fact: Unemployment is up since BO took office and has remained above the 8% threshold he used to sell his stimulus package. The number of jobs created is the smallest number in a recovery dating back to the Great Depression. All othe recoveries have been significantly more robust.
“GM Chrysler saved” Fact: GM was going to survive regardless. Even in bankruptcy proceeding the organization survives but is re-organized so that it deal with its revenues and expenses in a way in which all creditors are treated equally. BO’s plan put the shareholders at the back of the line and the UAW members contributed nothing.
“OBL killed” Fact: BO was simply following the same plans of GWB. And, no other President would have made that call. Oops, Joe Biden wouldn’t have but that speaks for itself.
“Many Alqeda leaders DEAD” Fact: Again, following GWB’s roadmap.
“Iraq war ended” Fact: A negotiated ending that occurred on GWB’s watch.
Obama care 5 million more kids, elderly, and people covered: As part of Obamacare, BO was reducing Medicare covering those 65 and older) reimbursement. How does that provide more care for elderly? More people with coverage??? Then why are so many companies considering dropping health coverage for their employees?

Jessica
You guys know better than me. If DB refrains from the personal attacks for good then a truce is in order. DB I disagree with Jeff, Steve Perry and Suiko on range of issues and I have not had a problem with them since I joined. I am not taking sides. If I had been here for awhile I would have more of an opinion on who is right and who is wrong.
Jessica, the only name I called him in that post was liberal. I have never called suiko a name until recently I called him a coward. He accused me of saying insulting and nasty things about families of posters here and politicians we discuss. I asked him for examples of my doing that and he dodged all over the place. At that point I called him a coward. I have made fun of his posts but I have never called him an idiot, or ignorant or dumb or a moron or anything else. I don’t think his posts are relevant in most cases and usually do not have a good argument. You have distorted alot here but hey you got Jeffie and suiko to like you so maybe you feel good. I will say I jokingly( not in a nice way) said suiko was a telemarketer. I knew he wasn’t but was just trying to get under his skin. That was not nice but benign compared to some of the things suiko and Jeffie have said about me. I don’t care but it amazes me how you can ignore what they have said. You remind me of Nancy. One last thing if in one of my posts I called him a name like one of those mentioned previously then that was wrong. I will agree with Italian Mike it would be nice to move on but sometimes that option is taken from you.
Now you can go back to your corner.
Italian Mike, just form your own opinion as time goes by. Hopefully, you will not be insulted or called names. You seem like a really nice guy, kinda like Coffee Steve and Rat. There are even some nice libs on here, as you have seen Faith has some very intelligent posts and Mathew( who hasn’t been here in a while) and many others. Stay around in any event. DD’s posts are worth staying here– she is very informative.
Mike, good post. You beat me to it.
“Where the Republicans stand up and fight, the liberals lose. They lost the 2010 midterms. They’re going to lose in November. They are losing with the American people.” -Rush
“What is going on with all these Democrats deciding not to go to the Democrat convention? Are they afraid Michelle Obama is going to make them do push-ups or what?” – Rush
Wait Mike, I beat you by about a nanosecond but great minds do think alike.
I bet that gets a response from certain lefties.
DB….
I’ve posted this a total of 5 times now.
You have said to me
1) I play with sock puppets from a drawer.
2) That my mental brain power is low
3) That I don’t have a brain
4) Calling me a stooge
EVERYTIME (5 times) that I have posted this you magically disappear. Just like Jessica said, I’m the one with the balls (after taking all those name calling innuendos for weeks) to actually say the word idiot to you.
It’s a crying shame that you don’t consider those name calling. Then again you didn’t mention that you have said those things in your previous post so you are just out right lying on all accounts…
Hillbilly,
By the court vacating the Clean Air Mercury Rule in 2008
“The court ruling means that big coal-burning utilities like Atlanta-based Southern Co and American Electric Power of Columbus, Ohio, will have to install expensive mercury-reduction equipment at more of their power plants rather than rely on a fleet-wide trading program.” http://www.reuters.com/article/2008/02/09/environment-usa-utilities-mercury-dc-idUSN0847678520080209
Also from the same article written in Feb 2008 after the court ruling:
“Utilities had said the cap-and-trade system gives them flexibility to reduce emissions without spurring a switch to natural gas, which is cleaner but more expensive than coal.”
“Once again ducking & twisting the fact the Mat rule is Nobama’s & blaming the court for something you said Nobama zip to do with..the Mat rule. THATS NOT TRUE!”
I’m not the one making this into a partisan matter Hillbilly. This ruling certainly wouldn’t be friendly to the coal industry. The facts are the facts and the EPA did exactly as the court ruled. They put into a place a program in which Mercury would be reduced in the air (as mandated in the Clean Air Act 1990)but by a different method then their proposed Cap & Trade.
“Congress gave the EPA Administrator ALLOT of power in writing the rule[s]. They sure used it in this case.”
Cry me a river. Congress could have voted for the much more market friendly Cap & Trade if they so wished but they did not. They decided to allow the EPA to use the less market friendly way to enforce this mandated rule. Yes, it is more expensive but they had a say. If people are angered they could be angered at the courts decision and they could be angered at Congress giving up its power to apply options but to pin this at the feet of Obama is rather predictable.
@Jessica
“Actually DB and suiko, suiko, you WERE in conversations about muffins but you were not bringing up a non story like DB says.”
Thank you for reminding me about the conversation. I remember now, once you take out DBs spin of the actual conversation it’s easy to remember.

*Assad: Syria now at war…
Turkey: Target Any Forces Nearing Border…
BEIRUT (Reuters) – Syrian President Bashar al-Assad declared on Tuesday that his country was at war and ordered his new government to spare no effort to achieve victory, as the worst fighting of the 16-month conflict reached the outskirts of the capital.
Video published by activists recorded heavy gunfire and explosions in suburbs of Damascus. A trail of fresh blood on a sidewalk in the suburb of Qudsiya led into a building where one casualty was taken. A naked man writhed in pain, his body pierced by shrapnel.
Syria’s state news agency SANA said “armed terrorist groups” had blocked the old road from Damascus to Beirut.
The declaration that Syria is at war marks a change of rhetoric from Assad, who had long dismissed the uprising against him as the work of scattered militants funded from abroad.
Thursday is one of the biggest days in news history
1. We have ObamaCare ruling
2. We have The Contempt Vote
3. We have the emergency meeting in the EU
If that EU meeting goes bad, the other 2 stories will be forgotton, Markets have been warned if that meeting Thursday bottoms out, we could be looking at a market crash unlike any in the past 50 years.
Oh well, I have plenty of noodles yuk yuk
“Now back to News
This is the Cable News Section right? LOL”
Actually, it’s suppose to be about RATINGS. But that seemed to be lost and forgotten even before I showed up here.
@Suikostinger
Actually, it’s suppose to be about RATINGS
I been in here for a long time now, I think just talking about ratings would get boring
Then again, since its a new rating board, I think it’s OK to discuss what drives the ratings and why it helps or hurts the networks numbers.
At one time Suiko, MSNBC and CNN gave Fox a run for their money, that was the good old days when with the commentary shows they actually did the news in a report the news format.
There’s always hope they’ll all go back to that.
^since its a new rating board

Coffee Steve
How have you been doing?
I haven’t had much time to write anything on here for a long time.I do read the post as much as I can. All I can say about post in here is they have gotten really mean and full of hate to each other. I used to like it when they called me names because it proved that I was smarter than they were.
Faith I have never seen such long posts by you you are really coming out of the closet with your political views.
Good luck everybody I’m afraid to post anything for they might call me a name.
@Coffee Steve
-Really, I always thought this was a site where conservatives came to bash our President…lol.
@Italian Mike
-What are you talking about? I’m all for polygamy just like Mitt’s grandfather and many of the most famous Mormon church leaders (Prophets). Joseph Smith, the founder of Mormonism, had 48 wives. In addition, Abraham, Solomon, and David had many wives…even Moses had a 2nd wife.
-So I really do hope the ‘Outsourcer-in-Chief’ does consider legalizing polygamy if he gets elected, so I can start looking for a 2nd wife.
