CNN's ratings continued to decline in the second quarter of 2012. The network scored its lowest primetime ratings in total viewers and adults 25-54 since 1991. Compared to the second quarter of 2011, CNNprimetime  is down 35% in total viewers and 45% in adults 25-54.  CNN had its worst total day performance in both viewers and adults 25-54 since 2001.

Every program on CNN  is down by double digits versus a year ago:

  • Anderson Cooper 360 (8pm) – down 23% in 25-54; down 19% in P2+

Amazingly, somehow, Piers Morgan will probably make the cut.

Bill Gorman is tricking you. It won’t be long until Ted Turner starts tweeting your ruining his network. Bill learned not to mess with with the big wigs after the Harry’s Law snafu. Post these announcements under Bill’s name. ;)

My cable company recently dropped both Fox and MSNBC , yet I can’t bring myself to watch CNN even though it’s the only cable news I get. My problem with them is their insincerity. They claim to be ” neutral ” politically , but I have yet to see a story that wasn’t completely biased toward the left. I admire MSNBC and Fox for at least being open with their slant. I think Fox is killing CNN in the ratings because Fox doesn’t try to pretend to be something it’s not. Fox actually does present both sides , CNN doesn’t. I just can’t get past that.

I guess the reason CNN and Both FOX news ratings are down is because lets be honest people are sick and tired of the war propaganda on Syria.

And thus are turning to alternative news sources on the web.

How soon can CNN dump Piers? I think doing that will be a good start. While Larry King was washed up by the end of his reign, I at least tuned in to see what he’d been covering or who he’d be talking to…and then would likely stick around for Anderson. With Piers, I don’t even bother.

That may be a difficult decision for CNN to make because ‘Piers Morgan’ has been their top program in P2+ and second in A25-54.

They need to just get rid of everyone at CNN and just start over.

-Where did you get that 100 Million unique viewers from?

From CNN’s press releases on TVbtN. I haven’t seen them in some time, but one could have been posted while I was away.

CNN needs to fire its anchors (esp. that Erin woman, and Cooper), talking heads, editorial staff, and major executives, and start over. They all need to be replaced with folks who are actual journalists, who are not Leftist nuts, and who represent majority opinion and perceptions. But this will never happen, these elitist snobs will never come down (or more accurately up) off of their perches to the level of the American people.

  • TV Gord

Soledad O’Brien is kicking ass on CNN right now! If she could keep this kind of fire going on a regular basis, I think she and Anderson would be a powerhouse lineup!

Anderson Cooper is just too irritating and whiny to watch/listen to. He’s not a very credible journalist in my opinion. If only AlJazeera could get a cable platform in this country they’d put the final nail in CNN’s coffin. They deliver world news, just like BBC news channel. They put CNN, Fox News, MSNBC to shame. Some of us really do want news, not opinion.

(If only AlJazeera could get a cable platform in this country they’d put the final nail in CNN’s coffin. )

Say what? AlJazeera putting a nail on CNN? are you aware that AlJazeera is a mouthpiece propaganda owned by the Qatar+Saudi Arabia regime?

What makes you think AlJazeera is any better then CNN? even Hillary Clinton praised there work for AlJazeera.

What people don’t know is that AlJazeera is a mouthpiece owned by the Royal Qatar Ruling family and AlJazeera has been financed by its prince.

The Problem with CNN is that they dont do real news. They do he-said She-said, Democrats say this and Republicans say that. Rather than telling us what each side say why not say WHATS IN the Bill, rather than just each sides talking points. Stop calling everything even and say who is right and who is wrong, there is a difference between being neutral and reporting the news to being afraid to tell the truth through fear of being called Bias and thus never telling the full truth

  • Tim

CNN is boring because of their bias. Talkers like Piers Morgan and Solidad O’Brien are too irritating to watch. CNN got rid of O’Brien years ago because she was so bad and now they bring her back..Why? Larry King was bearable but it’s hard to take Morgan. He is boring and hard to understand, as is O’Brien. Both are rude with personality problems. Most of us want facts not some silly opinion. Bias personal opinions gets old in a hurry. CNN needs to stop with the political correctness it’s boring and drop the liberal bias.
