This is probally something missy wants to happen. Either raise healthcare costs for the military or see obulbles veto the bill. Or both.
Forgot the headline:
Free Care? Ha! Regime Threatens to Veto Defense Bill Because It Doesn’t Hike Health Care Fees for Military
So the media is spinning this today as everything is free now. Obamacare is all free. The dastardly Republicans have been stopped. The court found for you, it’s free health care. Michelle Obama has got a story out there. Yes, contraception is now free. It’s one of the first things she talks about. Contraception is now free. I had people telling me in e-mails last night that people in their office were asking after the court rulings, “Okay, does that mean health care is free now?” just like when it was passed. “Does this mean it’s free?” We’ve got to start all over and we’ve got to wrap this bill and what it really is around Obama’s head. It is death panels. It is massive tax increases, but those aren’t going to happen until 2014, by design.
The tax increases that the Supreme Court just said are the reason the bill is constitutional, they don’t hit until 2014, long after Obama has gone through his reelection process. Tax increases are not gonna happen between now and the election. So there isn’t going to be any evidence. In fact, the way the thing’s built, as we told you, the benefits kick in. The mechanism to pay for it doesn’t kick in until later. But there are going to be endless regulations. The insurance companies are out there talking about, okay, our fees are gonna go up, our rates, our premiums are gonna go up. That will happen. But there’s going to be denial of care, rationing, price controls. There are going to be deficits. But yeah, the glimmer of hope is the November election and the Republicans winning the Senate, winning the White House, and holding the House. And then after that, hoping that everybody telling us now that they’re gonna repeal it will do so.
One more thing Missy, you sent your post at 1:53 and then at 2:50 acted like I wasn’t answering your asinine post because I didn’t know the answers!! A lot of us don’t live on this site and actually do other things. You are going to have to learn some patience. I will give you advance warning though, if you posts continue to be almost unreadable and continue to ask ridiculous questions you won’t be getting responses from me– I have more important things to do like trim my toe nails.
This is from the Washington Free Beacon.
The headline of the story is: “Obama to Soldiers: Pay Up — The Obama administration on Friday threatened to veto a defense appropriations bill in part because it does not include higher health care fees for members of the military.”
suiko, one example where I have said things about someone’s appearance like liberal4life did? I know what the answer will be but I do enjoy watching you try to justify your false posts. Go for it.
Hey there you non-researchin dumbocrats, read this one, please….
Obamacare’s Hidden Taxes
Taxation: The high bench has confirmed that ObamaCare’s individual mandate is a massive tax on the American middle class. But let’s not forget the 20 other new taxes that are embedded in the law.
The court was silent about the 20 other different taxes hidden in ObamaCare, more than half of which affect families earning less than $250,000 a year.
Some of the new taxes are:
A 3.8% surtax on investment income from capital gains and dividends that applies to single filers earning more than $200,000 and married couples filing jointly earning more than $250,000.
A $50,000 excise tax on charitable hospitals that fail to meet new “community health assessment needs,” “financial assistance” and other rules set by the Health and Human Services Dept.
A $24 billion tax on the paper industry to control a pollutant known as black liquor.
A $2.3 billion-a-year tax on drug companies.
A 10% excise tax on indoor tanning salons.
An $87 billion hike in Medicare payroll taxes for employees, as well as the self-employed.
A 2.3% excise tax on U.S. sales of medical devices that’s already devastating the medical supply industry and its workforce. The levy is a $20 billion blow to an industry that employs roughly 400,000.
Yes missy, your insurance fess are going to go up along with your deductible. Enjoy the dumbocrat way of life….
Wiretaps May Prove Holder Knew About Fast & Furious
Drudge has a story up. The headline has been his lead item all day. “Secret Wiretaps Rock Department of Justice.” It’s a Roll Call story. And everybody’s trying to read it and nobody can click on it because their servers are shut down. So I got people e-mailing me, “What’s that about? What’s that about, Rush?” Here it is. Let me tell what you it’s about. The wiretap angle on Fast and Furious is this.
Federal law requires a prosecutor seeking a wiretap to describe to the judge what investigative techniques have been used in the investigation. You don’t just get a wiretap because you ask for it. You’ve got to tell a judge what you’re doing. Now, those wiretap applications must — by law — be approved by Justice Department officials before they can be submitted to the judge. Now, Holder is claiming that he and other DOJ officials didn’t know about the gun-walking, and this puts the lie to that.
In order for the wiretap applications to be approved, the judge has to be told about the techniques being used (and the program, basically) and the Department of Justice has to provide that information to the judge. So we’ve got to be led to believe here that there may be some rogue people inside the DOJ running a program that Holder didn’t know about? I don’t know. It’s a stretch.
Issa Puts Wiretap Details in Congressional Record
In the midst of a fiery floor debate over contempt proceedings for Attorney General Eric Holder, House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) quietly dropped a bombshell letter into the Congressional Record.
The May 24 letter to Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), ranking member on the panel, quotes from and describes in detail a secret wiretap application that has become a point of debate in the GOP’s “Fast and Furious” gun-walking probe.
The wiretap applications are under court seal, and releasing such information to the public would ordinarily be illegal. But Issa appears to be protected by the Speech or Debate Clause in the Constitution, which offers immunity for Congressional speech, especially on a chamber’s floor.
According to the letter, the wiretap applications contained a startling amount of detail about the operation, which would have tipped off anyone who read them closely about what tactics were being used.
Holder and Cummings have both maintained that the wiretap applications did not contain such details and that the applications were reviewed narrowly for probable cause, not for whether any investigatory tactics contained followed Justice Department policy.
The wiretap applications were signed by senior DOJ officials in the department’s criminal division, including Deputy Assistant Attorney General Jason Weinstein, Deputy Assistant Attorney General Kenneth Blanco and another official who is now deceased.

Read # 2, #9, #11, and #17 then let us know what you think….
again…lets keep it simple and real… healthcare is an issue that affects and will impact someone at one point..before the healthcare law…insurance companies had a right to take people off the insurance, parents can now keep their kids on their insurance, people with pre existent conditions have some time of hope. I would rather have that, then go back to nothing…Everybody pays into a system…after all, that concept was originated from a republican point of view…lets not forget. Romney implemented that mandate in Massachusetts… Since Pres. Obama followed “His Model” people went bonkers and all hell broke loose…Luckily, actually thank God We have very smart people who sit on our benches…And thank God they are reasonable and rationale. Some of the provisions have gone into effect…so far so good, no one is going into death beds or anything…Yes government does involve bureaucracy..i have not been affected by it…but i know there are many people who dont have health care and will be able to visit a doctors office without being denied… on a more personal note…my father would not get accepted in a family doctor office…one day i told him…Dad if you feel really bad,,just tell me and i will take you the emergency hospital..they have to take you in… Im probably not the only one that thinks like, there are millions of other people… and those are the real issues…how do we deal with them as a nation. And if some people cant read or understand my messages, i would appreciate it, if they kept their comments to themselves.
@DB Quite honestly, some comments just come off as boring, lots of wanta be intellectual writing…but no substance.
@Ibsles Okay..let relax, I know the Repo-blicans will not take control..so yes i will enjoy my healthcare..and i will enjoy the fact that my child has a good education… Ill start worrying if and when the Repos take over and try to privatize everything. But thanks for your concern.
