Why the CW doesn’t give a two-hour Season Premiere for ‘Supernatural’ ?

  • Mi

I don’t get it… Why can’t the CW premiere SPN and Arrow at the same week exactly?

  • rob60990

The idea of stalling premieres is a good idea however this just seems a mess. Why premiere Supernatural a week earlier than Arrow and Hart of Dixie 2 weeks earlier than Emily Owens?

“followed by the final season of OMFG drama on Gossip Girl”

lmao, who the hell wrote this?

  • enes

Since they axed Ringer and The Secret Circle i hate this network i will only tune in for Gossip Girl and The Vampire Diaries !

  • Linda

Why wouldn’t the CW premiere Supernatural and Arrow the same week or even Hart of Dixie and Emily Owens, MD like they are The Vampire Diaries and B&tB?

  • Jack S

I assume HoD has a 24 episode order, Supernatural 23 & TVD 22? Otherwise premiereing HoD two weeks before Emily Owens would seem odd..

  • Damion

Unless Supernatural is getting an extra episode and Arrow isn’t, I do not get why they are having Supernatural premiere a week earlier and same goes for Heart of Dixie.

  • Sammie

    October ?

  • joel

Finally, some premiere date news. CBS and ABC are you there?

  • Sam

Watch AWKWARD today at 10:30 on MTV!

  • Baqinardo

    What a mess.
    Why different night???
And Nikita is soooo late. Middle of October?? Really? Ugh!

  • KS

Damn it. I thought Arrow and Supernatural would premiere in the same week and expected to see the show raise above 1.0 at lest once in long time. But, after looking at the time table, I am pretty convinced and prepared my mind that, Supernatural, at the most might get a 0.7-0.9.
I will not be surprised if its second episode is the highest rated episode of the season though.

  • Kelly

I guess its better to start in October that way they wont have so much reruns throughout the year!

  • panda22

Nikita…..only thing to watch on C-Dub

  • glover

I think they want to reduce the hiatus of the new shows.

  • joel

    @panda22,
True dat. Premiering the same big night as Whitney and Community.

  • Val

@Jack S I have heard that Supernatural has a 23 episode order. Not sure about Hart of Dixie having more than 22 though.

  • Dan S

Those premiere dates are a real mess. What’s going to air before Supernatural on Oct 3rd since The Arrow is being held back a week ? A 2 hr premiere would’ve made better sense.

  • tv#1

I can’t wait. I love the CW. I hope they have a better year ratings wise.

  • Sid

So Hart of Dixie has a 24 episode order and Supernatural has 23 right? Otherwise premiering them two and one week(s) earlier than their Tue/Wed night partners seems really odd.

I’m really excited for the return of Nikita and TVD. Both shows had amazing finales.
