The CBS Twitter feed tweeted the news late Friday that Unforgettable will officially return for a second season as a summer series next summer (2013).  It will have a 13 episodes.

I am very happy Unforgettable is uncancelled! My daughter and I really like it and it is one of the few shows that we can watch together. We were upset that it was cancelled.

  • Lindsay

Thank you CBS! I really love Unforgettable. Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh have great chemistry and the other characters are great too.

  • Tom

Do we know when this is shooting? CBS doesn’t have much in the way of spackle, and it wouldn’t shock me to see it air in March if things go badly for CBS this Fall.

    OMG! WHAT A DAY!

First Rizzoli & Isles gets renewed, then Dallas, Longmire, and Anger Management sets a record for FX in the ratings. Even at the box office Ted, Madea, and Magic Mike are going to have solid opening weekends.

Now Unforgettable gets uncancelled, good move by CBS as it should’ve never been cancelled anyways. Poppy Montgomery does a great job avoiding cancellations.

It may have been a worthwhile deal for Sony Pictures but, face it, by Summer 2013, Unforgettable will be all but forgotten. So, in other words, the cancellation has just been delayed for the time being.

@ Tom: That’s what I keep wondering about, I can actually see Unforgettable returning earlier than the summer especially if Vegas and Made in Jersey fails. That will open up some slots for mid-season.

I bet @ONE is so happy about this one!

    Ha ha ha ha!

  • John A

Lol why all CSI Miami comments? If the writers didnt give it a good enough ending its their fault. The ratings were awful for months.

  • Sandy

I agree Unforgettable should’ve never been cancelled in the first place it was the worst cancellation of the season good thing CBS realized it.

  • Observer

I don’t even remember this show being on.

  • Lu

Good for the crew, the cast and all the fans of the show.
I hope they tune in and prove CBS wrong :)

  • The End

The ratings for this show wernt that bad though, granted it wasn’t breaking any records but with consistantly 10 million viewers every episode and near enough 2.0 it was hardly a failure.

  • Hugh

Yeah they must of got a dea. No one would pay fall TV drama rates for a Summer show.

  • Blake Williams

I am happy that Unforgettable is coming back…..I wish A Gifted Man was coming back as well……..Hopefully Netflix will stream it like they are doing Three Rivers……

  • FlatHeadSnapSips

Too late, I’ve forgotten it already!

    YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU CBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU HAVE OFFICIALLY MADE MY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I wonder how much of a Fee-Cut Sony did to keep this show on?

  • The End

    @Herb Fine

Probably a small one. Season 1 isn’t even out on DVD yet, strange that as thats a good source of revenue for studios.

Entirely likely CBS went back to Sony and asked for a Season 2.

  • Ken

I agree with Robert, either Sony gave them damn good deal, or they want a new “Good Wife” to barely skate through each season.

  • Fake Me Out

So Poppy will be joining Dana and I as we dine on bear afterall … now if they would uncancel Pan Am & Harry’s Law I’d be batting 1.000 on which long shots survive their date with Ursidae oblitterous.

It does seem like an odd situation though … uncancelling it, sticking it into summer, 2nd season only 13 episodes, long way from 88~100, over 12 months between new shows … me thinks there may be more to this than CBS is making public … perhaps CBS is getting hinky about their freshman pilots.

    YMMV
