Yeah More true blood!!!!
WOOOHOOO True Blood Is AMAZING!
5 more seasons of true blood for me please
I think true blood will go until it reaches 100 episodes and then they’ll end it.
Go true blood!
Sweet love True Blood.
Nice! True Blood is sorta lame sometimes, but it can still be entertaining and brings in massive summer ratings, and The Newsroom is worth getting into. Glad HBO are doing right by both shows. They don’t really have much else anyway.
^^Uh…Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, Veep, and Girls?
WOOHOO!!!
The Newsroom was likely to be renewed anyway as HBO tends to give their shows a second season, well apart from Luck but then that had problem with the horses.
True Blood is HBO’s highest-rated show–by a goodly margin–so the chances of it ending before season seven are pretty much nonexistent, and the odds of it going quite a bit longer aren’t bad at all. They’ve pretty much abandoned trying to follow the novels, but the 13th and final novel is coming out soon, and I wouldn’t rule out the TV version lasting that many seasons.
The Newsroom was renewed for a second season before it was even aired, like very other scripted show on pay cable in recent years. This announcement is a formality.
Happy about the Newsroom.
Wish they would give True Blood the True Death.
They will never cancel this True Sh1t.
@Mike W, Newsroom sucks! Won’t make it past the second season,,, hell the viewers will probably go down by the finale that the second season will be cancelled before it starts
Newsroom is awful. HBO always gives their show at least two seasons. Wouldn’t be surprise if season is the last for the show.
Great for The Newsroom. Best show on HBO!
Newsroom’s 18-49 rating would surely have brought a renewal on TNT/TBS, and probably on USA too. But then it would likely have better ratings on any of those networks.
LOL I don’t think that True Blood will ever end, not that i’m complaining!
@CrimTV
When it does end, they’l probably do a spinoff called Untrue Blood or False Blood.
Anyway. Lol at some True Blood fans slating Newsroom. It’s not aimed at the same demographic as True Blood, not like they’d understand that anyway, this is a show for the older generation and those that have outgrown the MTV stuff.
HBO has a habit of jumping the gun and renewing new series after 1 or 2 eps. have aired. They have been burned before. I personally like “Newsroom” but can see how people might abandon it and by season’s end, the audience could be rather low. We’ll see how it plays out.
I am pleased with both renewals. True Blood is over the top, but fun summer programming. Newsroom is a good show, but needs another season to fine its legs. I think will be much stronger in the second season.
