Definitions:
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

WOW! dnmyou CBS.. I feel like I’m just watching the preview of what’s going to be the ratings for The Mentalist.. DANMYOU!! You don’t deserve it! Karma is going to happen to Elementary, for you foolishness.
@HG,
Summer reruns in a new time slot are hardly strong evidence of future ratings. Wait until fall when we have actual data.
I’ll take the REAL talent of Olympic trials over junk like America’s Got Talent or The Voice anyday.
@John A,
CBS repeats so badly in the Summer because so many people watch the show originally. I hardly think CBS cares how the shows do on a repeat. The network knows it is the best and has the most viewers so this is no big deal. Big Brother will add some eyeballs for them in a few weeks….Will make The Glass House look even worse than it already is.
This is what CBS should have done-
Sunday-
7:30-8= 60 Minutes
8-9= TAR
9-10= Elementary
10-11= TGW
Thursday-
9-10= POI
10-11= TM
I think the Olympics this year will be even bigger than last.
Now if NBC could do this with their scripted shows…
I don’t understand what Good Wife has done to deserve its timeslot. It’s not too late to stick Made in Jersey on Sundays at 10:00 and have TGW lead in to Unforgettable in Summer 2013.
I’ve never understood why CBS put The Good Wife on Sundays with a high male audience leading out of football but I doubt it would get high ratings in any time slot on the schedule. It is not a 18-49 hit in any circumstance.
Rick I disagree with your premise. Singer and Musicians have to compete literally against Millions of people when you take into account literally anyone has the oppurtunity to sing. Not that I watch any of those singing comps but if you can win one it’s actually pretty impressive cause you know you will have beaten the best possible competition you could have faced no matter a persons economic standing, race,age,region of the country,attractiveness levels or lack there of etc .
98% of the Worlds Population will never have access to indoor pools or any of the training method it t take to compete. It’s a false premise to consider sports that only rich white people in Western Countries have access to the best “competition”.
This could be the Best CBS Schedule ever.
