Due to its time slot we don't usually report the numbers for MSNBC’s new show, Cycle, but it scratched (audience failed to meet minimum Nielsen reporting levels) in the demo on Thursday with only 50,000 in adults 25-54. It was not only the lowest demo in all of MSNBC’s programming for the entire 24 hours but it was Cycle’s lowest demo since it debuted about two weeks ago. The only show that did worse (excluding CNBC) in the demo on Thursday was CNN’s Early Start with 49,000.

Whats going on with Ed’s show? He really has tumbled alot the past few weeks, is he out?
Not a bad evening for Fox for a after a holiday night and Hannity was out and still did well.

Jeff
There is a difference between what you said about Limbuagh and what I said about Maddow and Hayes. I was poking fun at there sexuality and that is not nice. It was low brow and it wasn’t funny. We don’t want to be overly sensitive but I believe most of us want to try to raise the discussion.
‘The Sickle’ is getting hammered.
Ed over promised in Wisconsin. His numbers have been tumbling ever since.
He is not the most talented guy on TV. He also has very little carisma and he’s a liberal fat head. See now that’s Ok.

They could try Cupp and Ball in bikinis!!!!!
I still wouldn’t watch MSNBC
I’d watch S.E. Cupp shoot a bear or moose on MSNBC

On , and on , they go . The White House has used this same excuse 30 times.

Obama Uses First-Person Pronoun “I” And “Me” 117 Times In A Single Speech…
Speaking in Sandusky, Ohio on July 5, President Barack Obama used the first-person pronouns “I” and “me” a combined 117 times in a speech that lasted about 25 minutes and 32 seconds.
It’s all about me, Me, ME!!
(Who has the boring job of counting his minutes & seconds ? )

I despise World Net Daily , it’s sensational news , it’s birther info., etc. , but I totally disapprove of this .
Spy Drone Buzzes Journalist’s Secluded Home
World Net Daily editor and prominent Obama administration critic Joseph Farah revealed how his secluded property was buzzed by a spy drone – part of what Farah fears is a “war” being waged by the administration against its political adversaries.
Do I believe this happened? You bet !

ON THE CAMPAIGN…
While guzzling beer Obama asked the bar’s owner to switch channels
from FOX news to another news channel.
I suspect the president would rather watch MSNBC which covers
both sides of the news.
On politics they cover the far left, ultra left, radical left and OWS
mobs.
On religion they cover all sides…Muslim, and anything islamic.
All of this presented by attractive, photogenic, gender confused hosts.
Italian Mike, I’m far from being a saint on the name calling front.
Tacky sexuality slurs are nothing new in here, hillbilly and a majority of all Republicans and conservatives in here are guilty of name calling or simular posts. I’m sure I’m going to hell for it, lol!
TGIF!!

Yeah I wouldn’t watch either but I might take a peek.
I think that Ed over shot on his position. I do not think that in general the American public is as far right as Ed presented himselve.
The media is supposed to investigate and expose the falasies of political positions.
There are falasies of what both MSNBC and FOX anchors promote on their programing as well as the politicians. It it up to the American public to filter out the cr*p and figure out what is the truth.
At this time the politician are producing a lot of smoke obscurring the cr*p.
Ed did not produce enough smoke to obscure the cr*p he was dishing out and people have saw through his smoke.
I do not think that in general the American public is as far LEFT as Ed presented himself.
I correct myself

Jeff
See what I mean Jeff by raising the discussion. The question before us is would you watch the sickle if S.E. Cupp and Krystal Ball wore bikinis? This is the kind of high brow, pipe smoking, with patches on the elbows discussion I would like to see on this site.
@
Rick
A lot of people new to politics saw how MSNBC hurt Bush and helped President Obama get elected. How much they helped is debatable. When Ed promised victory in Wisconsin people thought he could deliver. When the effort flopped people lost faith. That is my take on it. I could be wrong.
@d.d.
The White House has used this same excuse 30 times.
Hopefully we’ll just hear that excuse 4 more times, then we’ll hear “Ok Mitt, your turn”
I see Squawkbox got ANOTHER ugly rating.
And the “Holiday week” is no excuse. Actually, if Squawk had its old appeal, ratings would be UP this week because so many vacationers (who would otherwsie be working and unable to watch) could tune in before hitting the beach, the links, etc. Note that Fast Money again had 100,000 more viewers than what was once CNBC’s flagship show.
How long before Squawk makes major changes of some kind? (For example, like remembering their audience is there for information about what to trade/invest in, NOT for political debate and analysis.)
Since we have heard the same excuse from the White House 30 time we can start tuning them out becuase they are just telling us something they have already told us.
I want to hear something new and different. So far I haven’t heard any thing different from either side.
the cycle is not working beacuse it comes off like a rip off of the five. and everyone one that show act fake and reading of the script.
Italian Mike
As I said there was a falasy in what Ed was saying about the referendum in Wisc. He was talking about what he wanted to happen and the only thing he focused on was all the reasons of why Walker was wrong and should have been voted out.
There were good reasons why Walker did what he did. Nobody proposed a solution to the problem that Walker is trying to solve. They just said that he should be removed from office.
We have the same problem with Obamacare. The republicans just say it is bad legislation, therefore it should be repealed but they do not have a healthcare plan themselves.
Chief Justice Roberts simply said that the court was not there to determine between good and bad legislation and that taxes were taxes regardless of whether law makers called them a fee or a penalty.
Politician need to stop playing political word games and focus on writing good legislation.
@d.d. extremely long posts are the wrong way to go about it. S.E.Cupp is pretty cute though.
