FOX won the night among adults 18-49  and total viewers.

Note: Sorry, we only have half hours ratings today. In the meantime, averaging these half hours into ratings for each show will often lead to errors.

Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    That’s the best baseball can do? 1.0? For the 2 most popular teams? Well the regular season is a ratings failure

    Maybe they should start running soaps at night to bring in those ratings?

    Looking at tonight, just how many times does nbc rerun AGT in a week? Save a buck, lose more viewers.

    What the hell is Ball Boys and when did it air originals to be repeating yesterday? Also, why is ABC running repeats of a show they cancelled over 6 months ago?

    Texas (Dallas, Houston etc) got the Rangers. Don’t know if that hurt or helped Fox.

    Ball Boys is a bootleg Pawn Stars or something like that about a pawn shop that collects sports stuff. I saw it a couple of weekends ago at 2pm on my local ABC station and thought it was just some throwaway filler programming aired by the station until I saw the ABC logo at the bottom of the screen. Guess they only air Ball Boys during the day on weekends.

    The MLB was different in parts of the US. You could have seen any one of three different games. The #s were higher because six different markets had home teams, not just two.

    This Saturday schedule is messed up. Here’s a better one-

    ABC:
    Once Upon a time/Duets burnoff
    Revenge/Glass House burnoff
    Work It burn-off (hey, I’m just working with what I’ve got here)
    Apartment 23

    CBS:
    NYC22 burnoff
    POI or Unforgettable
    48 Hours

    FOX:
    Take Me out burnoff (a 1.2 still sucks and Mobbed would get better)
    Touch

    NBC:
    AGT
    Grimm
    SVU

    I expect Duets, The Glass House, and Take Me Out to be taken off the schedule for July sweeps. They, along with Work It (which, sadly, ABC has to air under contract) will probably pop up in August. They could help promote returning shows, like NYC22 before POI or Unforgettable or Work It helping The B in Apt. 23 (it’s better than Suburgatory).
    OUAT, Revenge, Touch, and Grimm should also be promoted more.

    You have unrealistic expectations.

    July sweeps started a week and a half ago. FOX was going to exile Take Me Out to Saturday and changed their mind; I doubt they will do so again. There’s no way ABC is going to pull live airings of Duets when it only has two episodes left. However, if The Glass House continues to fall, I can see it and the Castle repeats switching timeslots.

    The finale is next week; NBC managed to burn it off with a full week to spare before the Olympics!
