Yes Jeff I watch The Newsroom. I LOVE this part of the show. The part I love the most is 2:20 and beyond. I love when people say “this is the greatest country!”. It used to be and he says it perfectly…..Will McAvoy for president!!!

Of course, some of his numbers are off (it’s a show for christs sake) but he has a point.
Off night for most shows. July 4th through the 8th, lots going on for most people.

FHA’s mortgage delinquencies soar
Taxpayers could ultimately be on the hook for FHA’s growing number of troubled mortgages. The agency’s finances are already on shaky ground, and additional losses from loans going sour could prompt the need for a federal bailout, experts said.
The share of government-guaranteed loans, a majority of which are backed by FHA, that were 90 days or more delinquent soared nearly 27% during the year ending March 31. Foreclosures jumped nearly 17%, according to a report published recently by federal regulators.
FHA has also had a tougher time successfully modifying loans. More than 48% of government-guaranteed mortgages re-defaulted 12 months after modification, compared to 36.2% of loans overall, the report said.
FHA watchers warn that the agency doesn’t have much of a cushion against these rising delinquencies and foreclosures. And if the losses grow too great, the agency could need a taxpayer-funded bailout.

Pictures, galore.
The political ploy of our messiah…
The tax increase he wants will pay the bills in the US for 8.5 days per year…
THE FIVE – Highest numbers across the board – WOW!
Morning Joe is slipping–Starting Point/Early Start is catching up with them.
High five for the Five, Jolly good showing
Maybe Morning Joe is slipping because the Joe in Morning Joe ain’t never there. What did he do,take a permenent vacation?
New to Cable News – are Ed and Debbie Wasserman Shultz married? If they are they make a real “cute” couple.
Was this a new “Luntz Special”? If not, I wonder why FNC decided to air it instead of, say, “Out of Work Special”, knowing that “Luntz Special” managed to lose to “Piers Morgan” in the demo when it aired on the 4th.
Some Useful Definitions to Understand Our Modern Progressive World
Broccoli
Definition: Something they can’t “mandate” you buy but apparently can still tax the hell out of you and
make you buy. See also “difference without a distinction.”
Failed Policies of the Past
Definition: Limited government, free markets, personal responsibility, liberty.
We Are All In This Together
Definition: For the love of God who do we tax back to the stone-age to get out of this!?
Social Darwinism
Definition: Essentially a darling concept of the progressive left of the first half of the 20th century (along with eugenics its even more vile cousin). It now is defined as “any attempt by conservatives and libertarians to rein in the unsustainable spending of out of control government.”
Fairness
Definition: A word used to motivate making sure outcomes do not match abilities or effort. Note, pre-1970 it meant roughly the opposite.
Social Justice
Definition: Redistribution based on group affiliation, regardless of anything the actual individuals in question did, or even their specific ancestors did, but instead based on the actions of other individuals in the past who just kind of looked vaguely like those in the relevant groups being discussed now, both victim and oppressor. Also applies to redistribution of any kind, whether based on actual unfairness, or on simply outcomes liberals do not like.
Alternative definition: Unspecific. Just a meaningless phrase that screams “I am liberal and this phrase sounds liberal and nice with just a hint of revolutionary sexiness.”
Antonym: Justice (which, even if it must be applied broadly to address real group-wide wrongs, is always and everywhere an individual notion)
Morning Joe used to be mildly entertaining but it looks like the scrap heap for Joe and the gang. I think Joe is jumping off a sinking ship. Look for him on FOX.
They lost me the day Mika said,”I wouldn’t want to be Sarah Palin this morning.” She was refering to the Gaberiel Giffords shooting and a map Palin had targeting political opponents for defeat. Mika was blaming the shooting on Palin because of the maps and she wasn’t the only one in the gutter thrash media doing it.
That was the day they lost me. I never watched again.
When Palin complained about “A blood libel” the media attacked her for the use of that phrase. Forget the fact that they were saying she was responsable for the shooting. A madman perpetrated the shooting with no appearent political bent.
They would be doing better if they had Coffee Steve making the joe.

I wanted to disagree with whole rant but I grudgingly found favor with at least some of it. Sorkin that left wing goofball is the creator of the Newsroom. I heard lousy things about it but that was from the media themselves.
Who woulda thunk that the show which replaced Glenn Beck, would be Fox News’s highest (25-54 demo) rated show? I mean, really? But, it’s a great show and I love the little Boomer & Gen X music breaks going into and coming out of spot sets. Bob Beckel is my favorite Democrat, and he doesn’t need any additional help because he shoots & scores on his own against the conservative four. Oh, I can’t end this by NOT mentioning Kim Guilfoyle’s legs. Leggy dames (with all due respect) are always seated either on the far left or far right.
I NEVER watch morning television, but this morning I did catch the cast of The Five on Fox & Friends. They made tiny cake decorations (candles??) resembling ALL of the regulars, including those who appear once in a while, like Juan. Like the size of the bride & groom figurines on wedding cakes. I THINK today is The Five’s first anniversary.
If it is, Happy Anniversary Fox Five Folks!
DOJ Unseals Fast & Furious Indictments Charging 5 with the Murder of Border Agent Brian Terry…Also Reveals Border Agents Were Battling Drug Cartels with Bean Bag Ammunition
Amazing how fast things are revealed once Attorney General Eric Holder was charged with criminal contempt.
Sorkin does have talent and I respect that.
@ Ralph Hahn
Cake by the “Cake Boss” They do really weird cakes and typical ones.
The figures are not candles but “Fondant” is one of several kinds of icing-like substance used to decorate or sculpt pastries. The word, in French, means, “melting”, coming from the same root as “foundry” in English. And eatable.

Thanks for the definitions. I like broccoli they don’t need mandate that.

More Useful Definitions to Understand Our Modern Progressive World
The Phrase “Deny Access to…”
Used in a sentence: “It is unfair to deny access to healthcare to 26 year olds living off their parents.”
Definition: When a person isn’t given something they want for free, and they have not found a way to steal it yet, they have been “denied access” to it. In general it is the “1%” that “denies access.” See “1%” below.
Entitlement
Definition: Something provided by other men and women’s labor that some claim as their right, sometimes claiming to have paid for it during their lifetime, when all forms of modern mathematics and accounting reject that notion.
Rights
Used in a sentence: “I have a right to healthcare.”
Definition: A more extreme form of “entitlement” defined above. Note that modern usage throws out the long tradition of natural rights only of a negative nature, that is, the right not to have something done to you, for rights of a positive nature, that is, the right to certain goods and services, like health care, Apple products, and soy milk. Since, no matter how important these items are, these modern positive rights must still be produced and taken from others, essentially the word “rights” now often stands for a system of slavery and theft.
