SOAPnet owns the world of character-driven soapy drama. The network features same-day episodes of popular daytime dramas “Days of our Lives,” “General Hospital” and “The Young and the Restless” as well as classic episodes of “All My Children” and “One Life to Live.” Plus favorite primetime series “Gilmore Girls,” “One Tree Hill,” “Veronica Mars,” “Brothers & Sisters” and “Beverly Hills 90210.” Wrapped in a 24-hour environment, SOAPnet is the one destination for stories focused on real emotions and revealing truths about intriguing yet flawed characters.

Did Disney change their minds about replacing Soapnet ? I hope so. I know it was suppose to happen in March but didn’t. I am hoping that is a good sign

  • MBmomof3

I still have SOAPNet and it is the network I watch more than any other. I am really looking forward to this and am happy that ABC is still promoting it.

I would have voted, but I’m not into Facebook. I can’t wait to see which episodes the fans voted for.

  • Dani

If its Facebook decided it will be all Sonny, Jason, Carly, and Sam centric episodes

  • sofaspud

So it’ll be like watching any current episode?

  • TimsDale4ever

Out of 2 to 2.5 million viewers daily ONLY 37,000 actually voted? That really sucks! I’ll sample some of these because I love to watch old episodes of shows that I’ve never seen, but I’m sure most of the episodes chosen will not be of the “classic” sense of what that word means to me. In other words, an episdoe from 1979 would be considered classic — one from 2005 would not — and that’s probably going to be most of them. Sad….

  • MBmomof3

TimsDale, I agree that SOAPnet uses the term “classic” VERY loosely. Give me ’70 ‘s, ’80’s or even ’90’s episodes as opposed to an episode I saw a couple of years ago.

  • MBmomof3

TimsDale, I think the reason the response rate for voting was so low was that it was poorly promoted. I watch A LOT of SOAPnet and I didn’t even learn about this until voting was almost closed. I have minimal Facebook contact, so I’m not sure how it was promoted. Maybe primarily on SOAPnet’s Facebook page?

I know SOAPnet has been phased out in many markets across the country for yet another Disney channel aimed at toddlers. Because toddlers need more TV.

  • Darcy

I don’t understand – who still has Soapnet? I have Comcast and Soapnet was replaced by a Disney Kids Channel. Is Soapnet on Dish?

  • MBmomof3

Darcy, I have ATT UVerse. But we have Charter Cable at work and they have it too. It’s all abput the contractual deals.

i hope jason and sam will be back togther i know sam will found out her baby still live not die.i know them can work it out sam jason i hope sam can forgive sam jason about her baby he loss his son jason is im gald jason is the father of sam baby.i hate todd and don’t like heather what she did.john should’t kiss sam at all jason should’t kiss liz but did happen becuse sam did’t know jason was there. im a big fan of general hospital

  • Joan

ABC/Disney wants to replace SOAPnet with Disney Jr. but not enough of the affiliates have agreed to take Disney Jr. so for the time being they have to keep SOAPnet.

  • ACMallet

SOAPnet and Disney Jr. are BOTH still up and running. Whether or not you get both depends on your cable or satellite provider. I have DirecTV and both channels are in its lineup.

Why is Frisco and Felicia even mentioned as Hottest Couple or Best Supercouple or best wedding? That is ridiculous!!!!! They were the best ever…Frisco returning from the dead with the best…. This is so stupid and I will not watch….They were so innocent and sexy and so loving the whole time they were on together.. What a joke not to mention them.
