Univision Ranks as the #1 Broadcast Network among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights - Week of July 2, 2012 to July 8, 2012

  • · Univision ranked as the #1 broadcast network among Adults 18-49 last week, out-delivering ABC (+15%), CBS (+42%), NBC (+7%), and FOX (+1%).

 

  • · Univision was the #1 network during primetime last week among Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC (+57%), CBS (+150%), NBC (+60%), and FOX (+16%).

 

  • · Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every night last week among Adults 18-49. Univision also out-delivered two or more of the English-language broadcast networks on every night last week among Adults 18-34.

ü Based on the current 2011/2012 season to date, Univision has out-performed NBC during broadcast prime 70% of the time (219 out of 294 days) among Adults 18-34 and 50% of the time (152 out of 294 days) among Adults 18-49.

ü Additionally Univision has out-performed ABC on 89 nights, CBS on 79 nights, and FOX on 78 nights among Adults 18-49. Furthermore, among Adults 18-34, Univision has out-performed ABC on 178 nights, CBS on 208 nights, and FOX on 108 nights.

 

  • · During the summer months, Univision ranks as the #2 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 beating FOX (+5%), NBC (+23%), and CBS (+150%.)

 

  • · Univision kicked off the week as the #4 network among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, out-delivering CBS in both demographics. Univision’s entire primetime lineup also ranked among the top 10 programs Monday night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

 

  • · On Tuesday night Univision rose to the #1 position among Adults 18-34 and #3 among Adults 18-49, out-delivering CBS for the second consecutive night this week. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for both demographics with”La Que No Podia Amar” and “Abismo De Pasion” respectively ranked #1 and #2 for the evening among Adults 18-34.

 

  • · On Wednesday night Univision held its #1 rank among Adults 18-34 and #2 among Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC and CBS in both demographics. For the second consecutive night,”La Que No Podia Amar” and “Abismo De Pasion” respectively ranked #1 and #2 for the evening among Adults 18-34. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 5 programs among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

 

  • · Thursday marked the third consecutive evening Univision ranked #1 among Adults 18-34 and the second consecutive night at #2 among Adults 18-49. For the third consecutive night, “La Que No Podia Amar” ranked #1 among Adults 18-34. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

 

  • · On Friday night Univision ranked #1 among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-49. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 3 programs for both demographics.

 

  • · On Saturday night, airing “Sabado Gigante,” Univision ranked as the #3 network among Adults 18-49 and #2 among Adults 18-34. “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) averaged 2 Million Total Viewers 2+, 718,000 Adults 18-49, and 331,000 Adults 18-34. “Sabado Gigante” also ranked among the top 5 programs among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

 

  • · On Sunday night Univision ranked as the #2 network among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, out-delivering CBS in both demographics.

ü Univision kicked off the night with a special airing of “Pequeños Gigantes 2” at 7pm. The special telecast, a recap of this season’s best performances (to date), delivered 2.1 Million Total Viewers 2+, 897,000 Adults 18-49, and 468,000 Adults 18-34.

ü Following at 8pm, Univision aired “La Boda de Alessandra y Eugenio Derbez.” The special delivered 3.7 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.9 Million Adults 18-49, and 1 Million Adults 18-34 viewers.

ü At 10:15pm Univision aired “Sal y Pimienta,” which delivered 3.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.7 Million Adults 18-49, and 846,000 Adults 18-34 viewers. “Sal y Pimienta” averaged its highest Adults 18-34 viewership of the season; 2nd highest for Adults 18-49.

 

  • · At 8pm, Univision’s novela “Refugio Para El Amor” (A Shelter for Love) helped Univision to rank as the #1 network for the hour among Adults 18-34 and #2 among Adults 18-49. The novela averaged 3.2 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.6 Million Adults 18-49, and 856,000 Adults 18-34.

 

  • · Univision’s 9pm novela “Abismo de Pasion” (Abyss of Passion) helped Univision to rank as the #1 network for the hour among Adults 18-34 and #2 among Adults 18-49. The novela averaged 3.9 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.9 Million Adults 18-49, and 1.0 Million Adults 18-34.

 

  • · During the 10 p.m. hour (based on M-F), Univision aired “La Que No Podia Amar” (The One Who Couldn’t Love). Univision ranked as the #1 network among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. The novela averaged 4.2 Million Total Viewers 2+, 2.1 Million Adults 18-49, and 1.1 Million Adults 18-34.
