    @SJ,

    I think Nick was suggesting that football overrun will do better than ABC. Though, I do think that on a regular night The Mentalist has a solid chance at besting 666 Park Ave (won’t be enough to save the night).

    2BG and M&M will be a strong combination – both shows have legs – 2BG will do as well, if not better in the 9pm slot and M&M will continue to have good numbers overall. “(I know some people think M&M might end up like MAD ABOUT YOU and DHARMA & GREG in it’s post network syndication/cable life.)

    Moving TaaHM to Thursday after TBBT was a smart move – what do they really have to lose? If it loses 25% of TBBT numbers it will still be doing A LOT Better than every sitcom they have put their since moving TBBT to Thursday.

    I think having all the premieres in one week is smart business. They can cross-promote for their shows when the maximum number of eyes are on the Eye.

    Also, I am excited for the premiere of POI. So glad it is staying in the great Thursday night slot.

  • Linda

    I’m not happy about HF-0 starting on the 24th. The 2011 premiere was the 19th. We have a whole extra week to wait.
    Revolution on NBC begins on September 17. I wonder which week ABC will pick to start Castle. I guess it depends what they think their bigger competition will be. Go HF-0 !!! I hope they have better writing this season and that the Christine Lahti character works out. Also, please don’t get injured again, Alex !!!

  • SJ

    @Linda

    Since Emmys are on the 23rd, I don’t see a scenario in which Castle doesn’t start on the 24th.

  • MattCO

    *yawns* BORING! NEXT!

  • Justin121

    Lots of aging series.

    Mondays will collapse with the terrible Partners.

    THE GOOD WIFE is the crown jewel of broadcast television.

    CBS are lucky for having it.

  • Justin121

    THE GOOD WIFE is SO not getting cancelled after the magic 88 / 4th season.

    Mark. My. Words.

    What is amazing where I live (Quad Cities) is that while CBS is very strong primetime here, the local affiliate is dead last at 10 p.m. (11 Eastern) with it’s local news. About 9:58 p.m. a great “sucking sound” is the local NBC affiliate (KWQC-TV) brinGing in all the viewers from all over. A very dominant number one. It would have the highest ratings in the country at 10 if NBC had something to offer before them. All demos. The ABC station is a firm two by default. Look it up in any ratings book.

  • Hello

    Did CBS really need another legal drama (Made in Jersey)? I have a feeling it will be cancelled.

  • Ultima

    @Linda
    I wonder which week ABC will pick to start Castle.

    They have a concert all night on the 17th and the Emmys on the 23rd. That effectively guarantees Castle will start on the 24th.

  • Ultima

    @SalaciousCrumb
    They still havent said how they will do their NFL DH weeks.

    Are you serious? Here’s a hint – they’re doing the same thing they’ve done for decades.

    Just because a handful of people on the internet think that there’s something terribly wrong with CBS’ Sunday schedules does not mean that CBS shares that sentiment; they have continually shown that Sunday sports overruns leading into 60 Minutes and a full, if delayed, primetime lineup is what they want.

  • Paulo PT

    I only disagree with the early premiere of “Survivor”, should be in the same week of others shows…

    CBS likes their Survivor premiere/Big Brother finale night. Also, unless they run it until 23 December or air a regular episode Thanksgiving week, it will already be an episode shorter than a normal season. What sense does it make cutting it even more?

  • ABCFanatic2012

    ABC announce your premiere dates now!

    CBS’s schedule is boring!

  • Tony ^_^

    If anything, at least CBS viewers won’t have to search online for the premiere dates of their favorite shows. Unlike NBC viewers, who will have to constantly check the schedule to see what days their favorite shows air. I honestly remember nothing from their schedule (I only know that Grimm premieres on August 13. :p)

  • Survivor Fan

    @ Ultima

    It is possible that CBS will do a double episode of Survivor instead of a Criminal Minds repeat.

  • Nick

    @Oliver

    M&M has been cruising on its monster lead-in (and is the lowest rated returning CBS comedy)

    Mike and Molly has almost twice the ratings of Rules of Engagement. Also by this may, TAAHM was only doing .5 demo points better than M&M. Please get the facts straight first.

  • Freddy Arrow

    @Hello

    “Did CBS really need another legal drama (Made in Jersey)? I have a feeling it will be cancelled.”

    Since there’s only one other legal drama on broadcast primetime TV, it doesn’t seem like it would hurt.

  • Nick

    @ Oliver

    I looked up dreck online. Dictionary.com says it’s not a word in the English language.
