LOS ANGELES, July 10, 2012 – Before tuning into the main event card which saw reigning Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva defeat Chael Sonnen in their highly anticipated rematch, UFC fans flocked to FX, as the UFC 148 Prelims were FX’s most-watched UFC event ever, and the 1.8 million viewers made the UFC 148 Prelims the second-most watched prelims ever, trailing only the UFC 126 Prelims.

Featuring four undercard fights, UFC 148 Prelims on FX was the highest-rated Prelims event ever among Adults 18-34 (749,000), Men 18-34 (500,000) and in all key Women demos: W18-49 (403,000) W18-34 (249,000) and W25-54 (375,000). Glad to see UFC’s numbers on FX reaching SPike Tv levels. Now they have try and grow the audience.

They need to get off FUEL. Not in HD on COX.

  • scfyi

UFC is on too many channels( FOX, FX, FuelTV), it is hard to kept track of what channel an event is on.

  • Columbo

Such a shame that every fight shown was absolute garbage.

  • Columbo

Tell me about it scfyi. There was a UFC event tonight on Fuel and I had no idea. Of course, I don’t get the damn channel anyway.

  • PatheticNewGuy

I had no idea there were free fights on Fuel. UFC needs to get on one channel and drop the PPV model because the show was garbage fight after garbage until Silva/Chonnen. If they want to be a top-tier sport than sell commercials to advertisers like all the pro sports do.

  • mjustiss

the Tito Ortize vs. Forrest Griffin fight was far from garbage. The others were pretty forgetable, I’d agree.
