What’s with the “MSNBC Investigates” at 5:00 pm in place of “Hardball”? I wasn’t home then; I know Smerconish was on at 7:00 pm. Was nobody available at 5:00?. Oh look: more and more people are following my lead and watching Rachel and Lawrence at 9:00 and 10:00 pm.
Oh, and another thing: for some reason, cable channel 45 has been vacant on Comcast in the Boston area for years (this happened BEFORE Comcast took over). It appears that in the last few days, they’ve put Bloomberg TV on channel 45 (as well as on 246, its longtime home, so it’s available on at least two slots…I should check later to see if it has an HD assignment). Comcast continues to relegate the Fox Bidness Channel to the stratosphere: channel 284. Even Current TV has an easier channel number to remember: 107.
Something has to be wrong with those numbers for The Five…
Lawrence O’Donnell’s ratings have been surprisingly strong the past few days.
I wonder what he’s been doing differently to create that boost.
Looks like a slam banger of a night.
The problem with Miss Maddow and Mr ODonnell is consistancy. They have good nights, which they obviously had on wes, which is good for them. It’s not much fun when they get stomped all the time. But more often their nights are not as good and they fall far behind Fox. Who is consistant, which was a big reason why advertisers like them…they have a fan base that is large and loyal.
The ’5′ was all clips…
‘The Five’ took a dive on its 1-year anniversary? A big one, I say.
“NBC News, the legendary television and news organization that once starred such journalistic pros as Chet Huntley, David Brinkley, John Chancellor and Tom Brokaw was declared officially dead on Wednesday afternoon.”
I don’t watch MSNBC , but, if these incidences occurred , I don’t know why anyone would watch their shows.

Tunisian Convert From Islam To Christianity Beheaded, Video Shown On Egyptian TV…
The graphic incident, which is reported to have taken place in Tunisia, was aired on a program called Egypt Today.
The footage shows a young man being held down by masked men with a knife to his throat. One man chants a number of Muslim prayers in Arabic, mostly condemning Christianity. The man holding the knife to the Christian convert’s throat begins to cut, slowly severing the head amid cries of “Allahu Akbar” (“god is great”).
We should not support countries that condone or encourage this.
If Obama’s presidency is an “open book”!! It must be a book with no pages.. http://www.youtube.com/embed/6S-L99gC1FE…..” Where are the college transcripts? Who financed it? Why did he surrender his law license?
FOX really does have a Fan Base that is Large and Loyal because most people,
Average People, that is, WANT “Fair and Balanced News”.
It is a ridiculously simple equation.
Someone help me here. Are Mr. Ed’s numbers as bad or worse as Larry O’s prior to them boosting Larry from the 8:00 slot?
Feds Considering Quotas Limiting The Number Of Male Science Students
Quotas limiting the number of male students in science may be imposed by the Education Department in 2013. The White House has promised that “new guidelines will also be issued to grant-receiving universities and colleges” spelling out “Title IX rules in the science, technology, engineering and math fields.”
There is a very real disparity between the genders in areas of study like science. This policy would seek to correct that, but at what cost to male students?
Female-dominated areas of study won’t be subject to the same policy.
I don’t like this government intrusion into every aspect of our lives. Government ,think , for a change. Obamacare will need more doctors. Pre-med students need science. Don’t place roadblocks in anyone’s way because of gender.

Records Suggest Romney Stayed With Bain Years After He Claims
Obama Camp: Romney Either Lied To Voters – Or Committed A Felony

FactCheck to Obama Camp: Your Complaint is All Wet
The Obama campaign attempted to accuse Romney of using Bain to outsource jobs, Romney was a “passive, limited partner [with] no management capacity”

Joe Biden’s speech at the NAACP drew a small crowd but still
larger than MSNBC’S ratings !
Word on the street is that someone spotted either a snake, a
ghost or a piece of registered mail in the convention facility.
After the November election I suspect old “plugs” will get a
show on MSNBC replacing Al Sharpton.
While Joe doesn’t make sense at least you can understand what
what he’s saying….’KNOW WHAT I’M SAYIN” ?
@Son of coffee,
Thanks for sharing the news, tell your Dad I miss him almost as much as my coffee!!
Glad your Dad made it safely.
No nominations for Fox News. No surprise there!! More proof they are just hacks.
Congrats to Rachel Maddow!
Quality not quantity!!
Why is Mitt Romney being dishonest about when he left his position at Bain Capital?
Why did Mitt Romney have to fly in supporters to his appearance at the NAACP?

The new poll from the Pew Research Center is, plain and simple, the worst yet for Mitt Romney.
Not only has President Barack Obama expanded his overall lead from 4 points to 7 points, he also leads on almost every individual issue, including the economy and jobs.
Overall, Obama beats Romney on 11 of the 12 issues, including some of the most crucial ones:
This is Obama’s biggest lead in the Pew survey since March, when he held a 12-point lead.
Obama now has a 6-point lead in the economy category, a total swing from last month, when Romney led by 8 points on the issue. The only issue on which the public prefers Romney — albeit by a wide margin — is improving the federal budget deficit.
Also key: Obama’s job approval rating has reached the magic number of 50 percent, which many political observers think is a minimum barometer for Obama to win re-election.
The Boston Globe reports this morning that Mitt Romney left his position as CEO and chairman of Bain Capital three years earlier than he has stated in federal disclosure forms. Here’s the key point:
Romney has said he left Bain in 1999 to lead the winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, ending his role in the company. But public Securities and Exchange Commission documents filed later by Bain Capital state he remained the firm’s “sole stockholder, chairman of the board, chief executive officer, and president.”
The Globe found nine SEC filings submitted by four different business entities after February 1999 that describe Romney as Bain Capital’s boss; some show him with managerial control over five Bain Capital entities that were formed in January 2002, according to records in Delaware, where they were incorporated.
The Romney campaign has already fired back at the story. Spokeswoman Andrea Saul said the Globe’s report was “not accurate.”
“As Bain Capital has said, as Governor Romney has said, and as has been confirmed by independent fact checkers multiple times, Governor Romney left Bain Capital in February of 1999 to run the Olympics and had no input on investments or management of companies after that point,” Saul said.
It sounds as though this issue could come down to the definition of “left” and whether he was still legally involved with the company after he went to go run the Olympics.
Why the report matters is that it feeds into some of the Obama campaign’s attacks on Bain Capital’s investments gone wrong. The Romney campaign has previously stated that Romney is not responsible for companies that went bankrupt or workers that have been laid off after he left the company in 1999.
The Globe story comes at a time when the Obama campaign and Democrats are hammering Romney for various issues related to his wealth — his time at Bain, his offshore bank accounts and a set of “blind trusts.”
Uh oh!!! Lying on his resume, not to emotion a lot more info coming about his inconsistencies at Bain and on his taxes.
Let me see, should I watch Megyn or Andrea…
LMAO…..
@Raz … it’s consistEnt, not consistAnt. Please, it’s so annoying when know-it-all, holier-than-thou Republicans do not even know how to spell basic words.
Go Lawrence! The man has keen insights into how Washington works. His segment a few nights ago with millionaire venture capitalist Nick Hanauer regarding who are the real “job creators” was brilliant. His writing on my all-time favorite television show, The West Wing, was brilliant as well.
