  • Red

This is a meaningless press release … it’s hardly a surprise they did so well this week when Nick, their main competitor, wasn’t available to 20 million people.

  • Nathan (NR2012)

I’m really happy for disney, I honestly am, but seriously a press release? Disney had no competition for the week.

  • Nathan (NR2012)

Really good for Jessie. I wonder why it didn’t work out to be a lead in for Disney Channel Friday’s. I hope the new GLC did good. I doubt it did though, since disney put it in the death slot.

  • zodd

Good to see Disney doing well. Nick ratings were so bad that Direct TV took off the channels like they did with G4.

  • Jon23812

@Zodd, no, Viacom took Nickelodeon off DirecTV, because DirecTV refused to make their users pay 30% more for their channels.

I don’t know about goo luck Charlie because they put that episode on watchdisney on friday two days befor the premiere

  • Kaylie

Good Luck Charlie will most likely be at a 2.7 – 2.9 million viewers. Its still a strong show that includes the new baby so it may even get 3 million viewers.

  • irishking

Viacom, like AMC may have finally over played their hands. These companies are already double dipping with customers getting charged to watch their channel on cable, and also forcing customers to sit through endless adds (think movie channels no commercials).

  • Delaney

Good luck charlie had 8.9 million viewers for its new season premiere and was averaging around 4 million. One of the few shows on Disney or Viacom with 2 parents who are active in their kids daily lives.
