    Any #s on Imus?

I’m curious to see how The Young Turks on Current are doing at the same timeslot. Because of how low CNN’s ratings have dropped, it wouldn’t surprise if Lou Dobbs and The Young Turks beat out Erin Burnett’s show in the 25-54 demo.

Seems like FBN is finally starting to gain an audience.

Steel, I think Burnett benefits from a sizable audience that regularly watches CNN, regardless of what is on. CNN will simply draw more people based on brand than Current, CNBC, or FBN. That being said, her ratings by CNN’s standards are really bad. They dropped John King USA and he regularly outperformed Burnett. If CNN continues to allow its brand to suffer (by hiring people like Burnett), it will only be a matter of time before they look like another niche news channel like business news. Burnett is all hat and no cattle which seems to describe CNN nowadays.

By the way, I think it is great that FBN is gaining traction against CNBC. It would be nice to get some useful financial news that isn’t propaganda of the Wall Street worldview. CNBC needs the competition.

A difference of a couple of Nielsen households, good job FBN.

    I thought the same thing!!

It might be nice to see how FBN stacks up against CNBC and the other News networks at least for a while. It is interesting that FBN is in only 60% of the household and yet Lou Dobbs polls well.

May be if they start listing FBN cable networks will work on getting FBN in their offering so that it is in approximately the same number of households.

Bloomberg is a much higher quality financial channel than either CNBC or FBN.

At 7 PM however, they run charlie rose instead of a ‘news/opinion’ show t combat CNBC/FBN.

Regardless I would be comfortable in guessing that Bloomberg viewers have higher disposable incomes and more educated than the CNBC or FBN demographics.

It isn’t always about raw numbers.

I always felt that cnn made a huge mistake firing lou dobbs…he should get a regular spot on fox, he would do great…hes no b.s…

  • Incognito

I quit watching CNBC a long time ago since their “Squawk Box” morning show became more about conservative politics and less about real business news. I won’t watch FBC because of the same. I hope Bloomberg does better and blows them both out of the water in ratings.

  • Doug Z

Incognito-Squawk Box is Lib and so is Bloomberg. I quit watching for that reason

    @tony: Don’t forget about our 57 states!

  • Robbie

I think that if FBN ever reaches the same amount of households as CNBC the numbers are going to be very similar.

Lou was the best thing CNN had going & when they dumped him they tanked.
