NBC PRESENTS "JIMMY FALLON'S PRIMETIME MUSIC SPECIAL" ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 25 AT 10PM ET

Fallon to Host One-Hour Special Featuring "Late Night's" Most Talked About Musical Sketches

NEW YORK - JULY 17, 2012 - NBC is set to air "Jimmy Fallon's Primetime Music Special" featuring "Late Night's" most buzzed about musical comedy sketches in a one-hour special on Wednesday, July 25 at 10pm ET. Hosted by Fallon, the hour will include original performances such as "Tebowie" and Fallon as Neil Young singing "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air." The special will also recap some of Fallon's greatest musical collaborations with superstar artists including Justin Timberlake on "History of Rap" and Carly Rae Jepsen on a one-of-a-kind rendition of "Call Me Maybe" using only classroom instruments. Other highlights include "Scrambled Eggs" with Paul McCartney, "Whip My Hair" with Bruce Springsteen and more, many featuring the musical accompaniment of "Late Night" house band, The Roots.

"Jimmy Fallon's Primetime Music Special" is produced by Universal Television and Broadway Video. Lorne Michaels is the executive producer. Michael Shoemaker produces. Gavin Purcell is the supervising producer.

    This is going to be awesome! One whole hour!!! YES!
    Jimmy Fallon’s ability to perform as Young, Bowie, Dylan is so amazing and even though it supposed to be a comic thing…you laugh but I really enjoy the songs as well.
    Jimmy has that spark that people like, it seems to me that I am not the only one who enjoys his enthusiasm and happy personality
    His guest look comfortable and seem to really enjoy playing with him.

    Jimmy Fallon should make this a pre-Olympic special. Heard he’ll be in London (along with much of the rest of the NBC family) and do those thank you notes on one of NBC’s primetime shows (just as he did in Vancouver). Wonder what he’ll write about? Hopefully something Olympics-related…

    I am a 64 yeear old woman from Knoxville,Tenn. Ihave never made a comment about anything before! But I just had to say JIMMY FALLON is the most talented person I have seen on TV in years! Idid not know he could sing like anyone in the world and he is so handsome,well gromed and clean looking. I just hope there are a lot more like him coming along to entertaine our childen and grandchilden. I can not say enought how much I am enjoying his show. He is the BOMB!!!!
