Wow Univision made it intO the top 25 with viewers, they always do in demo but never in viewers
10pm hour is the most competitive hour on Spanish tv with both La Que No Podia Amar and Pablo Escobar.
Looks like True Blood will beat everything on broadcast next week.
These ratings are so sad even for summer.
Interesting that, when compared to last year, this season’s MLB All-Star Game has overcome popular shows like “America’s Got Talent”, both Tuesday and Wednesday, going from 2nd to 1st weekly.
In Cable Top 25, too, Major League Baseball has taken the lead, surpassing both “The Closer” and “Pawn Stars” with the Home-Run Derby. Not bad jumping from 5th (last year) to 1st (this year) weekly.
That for saying that numbers have to be put in perspective. Even a 6.8 HH rating (which, as an average number, represents an all-time record low for the ASG, but, not to be forgotten, only for a four hundredth of a rating point) has some highs: the 18-49 rating and viewership, which has been better than last year’s; the number of total viewers, that has seen a 7% increase over last year (showing the decrease in the final average numbers depended on the poor competition only, a Game almost finished after the 1st Inning); and the better performance against competitors on other broadcast and cable channels.
Overall a very good showing for Major League Baseball in a tougher and tougher TV landscape.
