Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Gloriax ans Sternsucks… clearly they are competition for eachother…. but both will get renewed on each respective network…. so why gripe. Now, if we were all having temper tantrums becuase of two low rated shows maybe I would care and be like, yeah, argue you children. Go! Because then one could be airing opposite of the the other and thus causing one (or eachother) from being renewed…. but this is not the case…. we could ALL name some cases like this …. hmmmm comedy line up vs comedy lineup anyone?? But, this is not the case at all…

  • disney rocks

No way HOD got a .4.

  • Kavyn

@Mon I totally agree with you. I was so happy with Masterchef last night, and the sneak peak of what they’re doing on Monday’s episode also has me very excited! I also really dislike David and I don’t see why he’s still in the competition. He should have gone over Tammy some weeks ago.

  • WoWza

Aeriln, I do watch Glee, and I love it. The quality is there but in oncept (not plot) it is a rip off… NBC would not have tried it without the Buzzz of Glee (Glee which stillg etsz the more buzz and better ratings). (Facts).

But, I enjoy Smash. Glee is a very DIFFERENT show. Some episodes are beyond incredible, and others are just enjoyable to sit and watch and smile at. It’s always a nice suprprise the half of the time the episode I’m watching ends up being one of the most genuis, beautifully wwritten episodes I have seen in months, but I watch it to be entertained, which it certainly does. Still, it has not become awful, really it is the same quality it has always been. Always. Literally. People hated the Terri storyline in season 1…. and hated the show for it… but any given time the show is consdiered “not as good as it used to be” but really it is the same incredibly written series…. and as good as what…. episode one? This was an incredible episode, but so were the 9 others in season one probably…. JUSt as good… and probably 7 or 9 INCREDIBLE season 2 episodes, and probably half of season 3 was amazing. Just amazing, sure some episodes are filer, but mostly the show is still really, really, high quality. Seaosn 4? Who knows, but the show is doing what it has alwas wanted to be and is what it ultimately has always been…. and thats a healthy outlet for entertainment and high quality TV writing… SMART TV writing, more often than not.

  • WoWza

Aerin, I do watch SMASH (and GLEE) I meant.

  • Gloriax

I’m not griping at all WoWza. I just find it funny how sad and ignorant Sternsucks is, like he thinks no one knows why he’s really here for. I like both AGT and Masterchef/Hell’s Kitchen. Best things on a Tuesday night and I’m happy that all three shows are doing well.

  • Gloriax

P.S. I like Smash but i hope they pick up the pace for season 2. The first season was decent but the melodrama got way too much. They need to lighten it up a bit.

  • Baqinardo

“and with FOX on the attack with the choice and Brittany Spears look for the Voice to fall quite a Bit”

“Just type in Brittany Spears into google and you will see how high that show will premiere.”

I did. And Google says “Did you mean Britney Spears?”

  • Sternsucks

    I’m sad huh Gloriax?

Keep telling yourself Stern is still relevant. Stern has NO effect on the ratings. Those are fans of AGT, not Howard Stern. Ratings are way down from last year and last week was the lowest it has ever been. Get your head out of your ass. 10 million viewers is nothing to crow about and I’d hardly call Masterchef heavy competition. AGT has NO competition therefore it wins the night. Stern doens’t deserve that 15 million. He’s a pathetic has been.

  • K

    @Kavyn

Monday’s episode of Masterchef will only be fair, if the 6 remaining chefs put aside their differences and vote the most deserving chef back into the competition. I like Josh, but I hope that Ryan (or even Tali) make it back. Some of the chefs did not like Ryan, but there does seem to be a nice person under that “rough” exterior.

  • Kaylie

@Baqinardo… Its not Google, you just cant spell if Google has to tell you what you actually wanted to type in the search engine.

  • Jess

HOD last week got a 0.3, I can totally see it getting a 0.4.

  • RyanCanada

The LA Complex is so good, not understanding the ratings! wish it reflect the quality

  • Dude

They should keep LA Complex for the summer. It’s a really great show. Have no idea why people don’t watch aside from the fact it’s Canadian.

  • Gloriax

“Keep telling yourself Stern is still relevant. Stern has NO effect on the ratings.”

Do you have anything other than the same sad angry ex-fanboy argument Sternsucks? It does not change the fact that the show still wins its night most of the time in both the 18-49 demos and the total viewers. The network must be happy if they want Howard Stern back for another season, so stop being a hateful Stern troll and get a life.

  • Sternsucks

Gloriax I’ll get a life once you get a clue

If NBC is happy that their ratings are way down from last year, they are even dumber than I thought. No wonder that network is in the gutter.

  • Gloriax

“Gloriax I’ll get a life once you get a clue”

Wow, I’m getting lectured about having a clue from Captain Clueless, the man who can’t tell the difference between a coherent, thoughtful argument and the ravings of a sad, ex fanboy with an ax to grind.

Oh boy, I’m in trouble now.

  • Rick

I wish they had brought back Whose Line is it Anyway? instead of doing Trust Us with Your Life. They could have just made the celebrity guest the fourth performer. I know it’s basically the same show, but I like the old one much better.

  • Phil

How weird is that. Dixie’s repeat averaged a 0.4 rating and a lot more viewers while an original LA Complex only scored a 0.3 rating.
I love both shows, but Dixie is repeating really well, even better than TVD. Sadly, LA Complex’s sad rating doesn’t reflect the outstanding quality of the show. It’s even better than GG or 90210.

  • DTV

The LA Complex was excellent last night! This show is not only well written it is groundbreaking as well. I wish more people would watch it.
