Royal Pains was the top cable original last night, earning a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating. Dallas came in second with a 0.9 rating.
We only receive the top 100 cable shows for adults 25-54 for the whole day from our primary source, if you don't see your show it wasn't in that top 100 list.

TNT should stick to procedural stuff. Dallas is doing worse than The Closer which is in its 7th year. Soaps are not the kind of stuff to work on TNT. The Great Escape is a flop.
As I said in the Tuesday cable ratings to SAC, TNT repeats are always on the list no matter the show.
Season low in the demo for DALLAS
Dallas went up in viewership, but down in demo. I think TNT should have renewed Memphis Beat.

@ssilvit — well, no one would say Dallas is a flop, exactly, but you gotta believe that TNT thought they had whale in their tank, instead of a little barracuda. Still, TNT did succeed in taking some of the starch out of Royal Pains, which was killing them last summer with pretty steady 1.4 ‘s.

Probably likely Dallas and Royal Pains appeal to the same audience. Would be interesting to see the DVR figures for both shows.

Does anyone have ratings for The Soul Man, The Exes, and Retired at 35 please?
@The End — wonder if it isn’t regional? RP really appeals to people who spend some of their summers in the Hamptons or Fire Island or Cape Cod or Maine or the Jersey Shore, perhaps. And Dallas may have a lot of appeal in the southwest.
I actually really like the tvland block of The Soul Man, The Exes and Retired @ 35. I think the latter 2 have become stronger in their 2nd seasons.
